The host contacted us prior to arrival with very detailed instructions on accessing the home and room. The family room was very spacious with a view of a nearby field from the balcony. To get to the family room, you will need to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs. The room is air conditioned and has a private bathroom. As others have mentioned, the room opens into the community dining/kitchen area. We didn't mind. We met the host during breakfast and enjoyed chatting with her as we have girls the same age as hers. Breakfast was very good with juice, pastries, cheese and ham. We especially loved the homemade apricot jam. Their family has a farm where they produce juice, jam, and liquor. Needless to say, we purchased some to take home. We stayed only one night but would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Lyon. For dinner we walked to a charming neighborhood pizza truck about 1 block nearby where they made fresh interesting exotic pizzas (with shrimp) that we enjoyed. The husband and wife were really nice as well.

The breakfast was simple (French style - basically bread, pastries, and yogurt) but with home-made jams, and delicious. The common kitchen area is fully equipped to make a proper dinner. The common outdoor terrace is beautifully set up. The courtyard for parking is very secure, unlike many other properties in Lyon. It's an easy 12 minute walk to the tram stop for accessing downtown, and you're about a 20 minute drive from the Lyon Airport. Owner was super-accommodating and friendly. All in all, the perfect spot to stay.

This isn't even their fault, but Google puts the pin in the wrong place. If you follow Google, they try to direct you to the back of the house using a neighbor's driveway. Look for the sign on the fence, the correct entrance is one driveway down the hill from where Google sends you.

What an amazing stay i just wished on the travel through France as we started our holiday that we would have stayed here but stayed at a different place and was a total nightmare! But at Villa'vi Lyon was absolutely amazing, nice and relaxing, excellent staff made us feel at home! Bed was amazing too and had one of the best sleeps on our long travel. Next time I travel through France, I will definitely be staying here again.

There was absolutely nothing that I did not like!

Very kind and hospitable hosts. Flexible with the check in time. Room was small, but cosy and clean. It was also very calm, so we had a good night sleep. Breakfast was good and very welcome.

When we arrived the room was a bit chilly and radiator was turned off (AC was on though). It took a while for the room to warm up. Also, the only "window" is actually a glass door leading to the parking. If you want privacy, you need pull the curtains, which are dark and block all the sunlight. A bit more privacy withouth blocking all the sun woul be nice.

It was one of the best stays in Europe. The B&B is relatively new and everything is well maintained. Emily, the staff, was very nice and hospitable. My family had a brief chat with her while having breakfast. She talked about Lyon briefly and it made us want to visit Lyon again. Also, the breakfast was excellent with home-made jams. Thanks Emily, see you next year hopefully.

Fully satisfied

A very pleasant, air conditioned room between Lyon city and the airport. Convenient to both, plus a tram stop nearby. Very friendly hosts and a tasty breakfast with lots of homemade products (jams, juice).

It is not the property’s fault, but be aware that Google maps leads you to the alley behind the house. Parking is tight but is _very_ secure inside their gated driveway.

The house was very nice, modern and equiped in the high guality. The kitchen is shared, but very comfortable and has everything the one might need. Breakfast time can be also arranged with the host. Most of all we liked the young lady Emilie who was hosting us. She is an exceptionally friendly and pleasant person. We would definitely come again.

It is a bit distant from the city center, but manageable by a car (15-20 mins).

Great location and easy access to the Tram and metro into Lyon. Beautiful view from the private balcony looking west toward the city. The owner went above and beyond to help us out to get our car started and back on the road.

We were traveling on business, for us the location was very good - very close to the fairgrounds, without traffic jams and in a quiet and safe area. Very nice and helpful owner - she adjusted the menu for breakfast especially for us, we could also try homemade jams.

The receptionist was really kind and open and showed us everything on the property. The room was clean and had a good working air conditioning 👌. The breakfast with homemade jams was good value for money. We really enjoyed the stay and can recommend it for people who come by car and visit Lyon.
