This is the best decision we made for all accommodations on our trip. The village of Giethoorn should be experienced when it’s not invaded by tourists-that requires you to stay the night to enjoy the quiet romantic evening strolls, and refreshing morning walks. The hosts were accommodating, friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay worry free. The location is off the main “canal” and within walking distance to everything. We took the bikes to the grocery store and to the nature parks. We also rented a boat from the host - I highly recommend that you do this, but start before 9 AM so that you can finish before the … rush of tourists take over. We never saw such boat traffic. We will be back and now we have to not guess where to stay. The room is spacious and very clean. Bathroom is spacious and private. The grounds are clean and well maintained. Breakfast was plenty, as others have written, we didn't need lunch.

We had an excellent stay at B&B De Hofstee. The location is perfect, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast provided was more than enough and very satisfying. The host was incredibly kind and helpful—he even gave us a ride to Steenwijk Station, which we deeply appreciated. It would have been quite challenging to get there by bus, especially since my friend had hurt her foot while biking.

The only minor issue we experienced was that the shower water wasn't hot enough.

Location could not be better, right in the center of the village. Standing in front of the property I did not know which way to look - landscaping in each direction is so beautiful. Lots of restaurants to choose from, all of them within walking distance.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

This is a delightful apartment in a unique and beautiful setting. To secure accommodation with parking on the edge of the no car zone of this wonderful canal village is special indeed. The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped and, as others have stated, the breakfast provisions are so generous we were able to have them for lunch every day too. Although there is some foot traffic past the window it didn’t occur early morning or later in the evening so was not a problem. The communication from and interaction with the host was excellent.

Magic place, Giethoorn! And Bed &bike de Hofstee very, very nice place to stay, comfortable, nice people. We're arrived late at night because of traffic jam and the host was very kind to help us with the parking and checking in. They also made valuable recommendation for dining.. Good breakfast, too

The apartment is very spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast provisions are sufficient for lunch and breakfast. The location is excellent, being in the centre of the beautiful Giethoorn Village. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

The location of the apartment and the parking spot is a little bit difficult to find initially. The hosts may provide their guests with some pictorial guidance before checking in.

This BB&Bike felt like a prize in the lottery. We had never been to Giethoorn and this place was right at the most popular area of town. Absolutely beautiful. I do think we really lucked out on being there after tourist season was over because that would take away a lot from the peace and quiet we now enjoyed. The Hofstee, our room was very well appointed with everything we could possibly ask for. Clean, great breakfast, comfortable, very roomy. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. The bikes were comfortable and free! 45 km in one day was no problem and that was under our own power. Absolutely loved our stay.

Happy we were not there during high season. We now enjoyed hearing the quacks of ducks at night. Pretty sure that will be different during the summer.

Location is excellent in the centre of this pretty village. Accommodation was very spacious and very clean. Breakfast was supplied (for self-catering) and was more than adequate for our stay. Highly recommended.

Everything was fine but location was a little difficult to find initially. Anyone with mobility problems may struggle as there are steep bridges over the canals.

What a wonderful location and the facilities were very modern and delightful. I was there for 2 nights and I was given a very generous amount of food. Everything was just great.

More or less everything, location is good, room is good, kitchen area is good, the sofa was great, bathroom even though is a bit far but the size of it make up for it. Breakfast was more than enough & very generous. The young lady booked us in was very helpful & very friendly.

The wifi was a bit difficult, drift in & out a lot, can't keep knocking on their door at night. The quality of the cold meat for breakfast can be a bit better.
