At first we were disappointed, but we had 4 nights and in the end we really appreciated everything. The owner was super nice, a beer in the pub in the evening with some locals was always a nice end to the day. We even discovered beautiful hiking tours that you could do directly from there. Breakfast at the nearby Trucker Grill was an nice experience and there is an excellent restaurant nearby.

Everything is a bit old, but it is gradually being renovated.

Lovely hotel and bar. Staff all lovely and friendly. Came up for Hogmanay with hubby and son. Sadly, due to his age, we couldn't stay in the bar which had a great atmosphere. The bar has loads of potential with the back area and lounge,. I love that it is dog friendly. Rooms were nice and clean and cosy.

Beds were very creaky and not the comfiest I've slept on. That said, they wouldn't put me off booking again

What a refreshing experience! The host could not have been more helpful. Recommendations for local restaurants and pizza takeouts, and even set us up with his personal laptop so that we could watch a rugby game (the bar TVs were set to Football and we werent going to try compete with the football). Good value drinks at the bar. Room was comfortable (family room) and well appointed. Definitely an option when up in the Aviemore/ Newtonmore area.

Cannot think of anything negative to mention.

The location suited us perfectly and there was ample on street parking outside / nearby. It was a clean room with comfy bed and an easy check in + check out process. The staff were very friendly.

The hotel is obviously a little old + in need of refurbishment. Whilst the room was clean and comfortable, the walls were in need of a lick of paint and the bathroom quite tired + in need of complete replacement.

Owner is very friendly and on hand to help. Rooms were functional and had everything needed. The bar is popular with locals which is always a good sign! 3rd visit in the last year

On site food would be an improvement as the whole area is under provided for.

It was very easy to find the hotel (Main street). The center of the village, the best location. Old (but nice furnished and decorated) building, everything is very clean, the bed is comfortable, the towels are perfectly soft, and my 4yo kid loved the food plate a lot! The owners at reception are ready to help with every requests.

OYO robotic management (aka "the world chain of hotels") is just awful; but the hotel management (the owners) are just perfect. I wish them to get rid of this OYO brand as soon as possible. Its logotype looks strange in Scotland anyway.

Pub downstairs, breakfast was good.

Property was fine. Even better if second bathroom had a shower also. Currently has a bath only no shower hose so strikes me as an easy enough thing to do. That way it’s not a waiting for the correct bathroom to be free. But this wasn’t a big issue within the limitations of a shared bathroom.

The hotel was located right in the city with reachability to main points, cafes, restaurants. It is located in the Cairngorns National park which means you're close to a lot of attractions. It is clean and tidy while being also small and cozy. We loved our beds and we had a very good nice sleep.

The hotel could use renovation to get it more updated to recent standards.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was good size and clean with comfortable bed. Tea/Coffee facility’s. Sink in room. Bar downstairs. Free to park on road infront of hotel. Near shops/cafes.

Shower room window ledge was dirty on first floor.

The hotel was pet friendly. I had a double room - shared bathroom(s) - there was a shower room and a bathroom. My bicycle and trailer were looked after.

That breakfast wasn't included, but I knew that when I booked.
