Our recent stay in Ayvalik was truly memorable, thanks to the charming inn we chose. The property is ideally located in the heart of the town, just a short walk from the seaside, making it perfect for both exploring and enjoying the scenic views. The room we stayed in was cozy and well-appointed, featuring a comfortable double bed. The decor throughout the inn was thoughtfully curated, reflecting the family's attention to detail and adding a touch of local character to our experience. What stood out most was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the family who runs the inn. They were very kind and friendly. This genuine hospitality, especially from the owner who led the family with great care, made our stay feel special and personal. Breakfast was served in a lovely inner garden that provided a peaceful and refreshing start to the day. In summary, our experience at this family-run inn in Ayvalik was delightful. The central location, comfortable rooms, and above all, the warm family atmosphere, made it a perfect choice for a relaxing getaway. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fair-priced, homely stay in this beautiful town.

The place was just like its name in Turkish suggests, a MYSTERIOUS MANSION. The redesigned ex-olive oil warehouse was beautifully decorated, blending traditional Turkish charm with modern comforts. Our room had its unique character, making the stay feel truly special. The walls were adorned with an exquisite collection of Turkish and Greek artifacts, adding a rich cultural ambiance to the entire place. The owner was very friendly, and his recommendations were spot on—he knew the best places to eat and visit, almost like he had a crystal ball! Maybe it was the coffee grounds fortune-telling! The staff was incredibly hospitable, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. The breakfast was delightful, featuring a variety of fresh, local ingredients that provided a true taste of Ayvalık. Despite our taxi drivers' complaints about the narrow street leading to the hotel, the location was perfect, offering easy access to the town's attractions while providing a peaceful retreat. Gizemli Konak exceeded our expectations in every way, making our stay in Ayvalık unforgettable. Plus, we swear the mansion whispered goodnight to us every evening with the soothing scent of cold-pressed, unfiltered olive oil, a reminiscence of past, present, and future.

I liked everything about the hotel. But my wife didn't appreciate my snoring, which was amplified by the quiet, peaceful surroundings of the mansion. Additionally, there weren't enough hours in the night to fully savor the soothing effects of the cold-pressed, unfiltered olive oil scent.

Menteş, the owner is an incredible host. He and his staff really put forth their best each day for every guest's experience. Menteş touched base with all guests who came down for breakfast. He is incredibly helpful, and even offered to accompany myself and my partner to purchase bus tickets. He and his staff went above and beyond! They were all personable and kind. The rooms themselves are stylish and VERY CLEAN! The space is used well, and I was able to unpack and utilize the closet and shelf spaces, which kept everything organized. The bathroom was well maintained, and the shower stall spacious. Water pressure was fantastic. We had a mini fridge which was incredibly helpful to keep our drinks cool. The A/C worked great. Additionally, all the shared spaces (lobby, garden, etc.) were also tidy and welcoming. Breakfast was filling and very fresh. Location was fantastic - central to incredible restaurants, shopping, and the waterfront. Overall, this place is a wonderful "home" to come back to after exploring the town.

The authentic old building. The lobby, the rooms and the backyard are furnished with style but also adding a scent of the old times. The breakfast was delicious and plenty, served by the hosts themselves. We also had an extra portion of hot bakeries upon our request!

The bathroom wasn't too shiny, Yet, I wouldn't say not clean. The location is a bit noisy, but that's not the hosts to blame at all. You'll get the same conditions in every single building located in the center. Parking and driving a car is a real adventure. Just make sure you arrive before noon or in the evening, otherwise most of the paid parking lots could be full.

The hotel was a beautiful little boutique in a great location. As others have mentioned, it’s in the middle of old town and next to the marina yet still quiet. It was beautify decorated, especially where the courtyard where we had breakfast. The owner was warm and helpful, including walking us to find transportation to Cunda for dinner and making g a recommendation about where to eat.

Room was a bit small

Fantastic boutique hotel, exceptional location just off the narrow cobbled lanes with lovely friendly hosts. The rooms are superb whilst Breakfast was lovely. If I was ever travelling through Ayvalik again this would be the first place I would try to book

Nothing. We travelled by car as well, yes the streets are very narrow and any space you can find is where you park the car but that is the beauty of Ayvalik itself, narrow cobbled streets.

Very pleasant place with a lovely host family. The location is perfect for enjoying the cafes and restaurants in the center of town. A delicious Turkish breakfast is served on the patio.

The air conditioning could be a little more powerful, but we were there during the hottest period in August.

Gizem and her dad were super welcoming! The house is beautiful and wonderfully decorated, a true oasis in the craziness of Ayvalik. Our room was very comfortable and the patio was super relaxing and pretty.

Like every place in the center of Ayvalik, parking is difficult, but we figured it out.

Great central location. The host was helpful in having us park our motorcycle in the adjacent alley (in front of a home that I think was that of one of the owners, but still nice). Simple breakfast in the courtyard. Rooms were basic but fine. AC worked.

A little bit expensive for the area.

This is a great little hotel in a great location. Staff are so friendly and helpful recommending local restaurants etc. the hotel is in the old town so getting there in a car is tricky. Lots of one way streets etc and very very narrow. But once there all is good. Breakfast was fabulous
