Breakfast was delicious and plenty of choices served in the restaurant overlooking the tranquil garden. Dinner id also served in this area and is good value snd very tasty. The indoor reception rooms of these historic buildings are elegant, inviting and very comfortable. The outdoor nooks and crannies offer so many places to enjoy a bottle of wine from the honesty bar under the shade of the olive trees. It’s everything you could ever dream of and imagine from a country property in Umbria. The nearby hiking is scenic and undulating! The property is extremely spacious and the pool area is great with privacy for all. This is our second visit and will be back again. Frederico, Louana and Angelique are lovely hosts.

The only complaint was that the shower screen in the bathroom wax a bit too small and the water continually ended up on the floor! But it’s a very minor thing and did not impact on our fabulous break!

Property was very nice and we were lucky the property had a restaurant. There is nothing else close by. Since we were hiking from Assisi to Spello to Trevi to Poreta to Spoleto this was one of the few options and the nicest in Poreta. The address is Spoleto buts it’s in the town of Poreta. We also could leave our luggage prior to check in so we could complete our hike. Breakfast and dinner was good.

The young receptionist was very nice. The older receptionist was not very friendly. When we arrived no one was at the reception. 10 minutes later the older receptionist came smelling of cigarette smoke. She took our passports and said she’d give them to us in 5 minutes. Not sure why she had to keep them. 15 minutes later we had to go retrieve them. Snacks in self serve bar area didn’t get refilled even though she came through 2-3 times. She didn’t seem happy.

The building and location were fantastic and a lot of thought and attention to detail have gone into both the room and shared spaces which were gorgeous. We also ate dinner in the restaurant and this was delicious using lots of local produce (just be aware the restaurant is not open every night). The property is around 5 mins from a main road so easy to get access to some of the main sites in the area, but still very peaceful.

On our second night the restaurant was closed and there is no where else to walk to for dinner so needed to get in the car, but this means you explore the area a little more.

Charming old building in a lovely garden. The staff was very nice and attentive did their best to make our stay memorable. It is a farmhouse with strong emphasis on nature. The pool area is very nice. Dinner is great in the a la carte restaurant.

Breakfast selection was a bit scarce mostly sweet stuff the way Italians like it. The rooms are very stylish, rural, could be a bit more comfortable and bathroom amenities are not of high quality.

Wow! What a place tucked in on the Saint Francis Way hiking path in the Village of Poreta, Borga Della Marmotta was the type of oasis on hopes for at the end of a long day of hiking. Beautiful property, modern rooms, a truly outstanding restaurant with Frederico and his friendly, happy staff making the one night's stay having us wishing we could have stayed for longer. Consensus of the group was that Borga Della Marmotta was the type of property that one might return to just to enjoy the ambience of the property and area as a one off vacation.

A beautifully maintained property with a classy feel. The garden area and pool were idyllic and the reception area, living space and suite were absolute class. I would recommend Borgo Della Marmotta to anyone if they are looking for a classy stay in a relaxing and very private location.

Nothing was not to like although the menu at dinner is a little restricted. Certainly worth eating in the restaurant but maybe just for one night.

A little oasis in the quaint town of Poreta. The beauty of the property is not captured in the photos. Olive trees, lavender bushes and a tranquil outdoor pool add to the specialness of this hotel. Lots of outdoor seating available to just read a book and enjoy the scenery. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed by the staff. Our room was spacious, clean and well decorated. Our buffet breakfast was the best we've had during our month long travels through Italy. As we happened to stay on a Tuesday when the hotel's restaurant was closed, our host was kind enough to not only book dinner reservations at a nearby establishment but coordinate transportation as well. They definitely go above and beyond to assure that their guests have an amazing experience.

Breakfasts were lovely and included in the room rate. Restaurant is excellent for carnivores, less so for vegetarians. Swimming pool is big in a lovely setting, with lots of loungers & chairs. Farmhouse itself is beautiful and peaceful, with a lot of different spaces places to sit outside throughout the grounds, and a couple of big rooms to relax in indoors. Our apartment was BIG, cool and a great place to sit in, or eat in, on the days we didn't want to go out somewhere. The location is excellent for day trips by car to Assisi, Perugia, Orvieto, Trevi, Speleto.... there is far more to see and do than you'll get to. Assuming you don't just want to sunbathe by the pool, drinking lovely wine.

Beds were a little too firm for our tastes, but that's a personal thing. Bar is run as an honesty bar (so self-serve) which is great, except that when it runs out of glasses, mugs or tumblers... you're out of luck! Restaurant has a pretty limited selection for non-meat eaters, but that's not actually unusual in Umbria it seems. Late summer there are a lot of flying things! Mosquitos were a nemesis, and there's a few wasps & hornets around the farmland. Nothing unusual, but something to bear in mind if you are upset by them.

Beautuful, tranquil hotel with well designed rooms that are definitely more on the luxe side for Italy. Great food for lunch and dinner meaning you can stay all day if preferred. Lovely hospitality!

Air conditioning in the room needs updating as it wasn't quite sufficient for the high temperatures during our stay. Our double bed was two singles pushed together which isn't super comfortable

This hotel is honestly my top 1, it is the BEST hotel I have ever stayed at. It is incredibly beautiful, relaxing, and detail oriented. Our room was stunning, perfect size, the pool is beautiful and so calm. The breakfast was delicious, the coffee was next level (and the offer plant-based options) Also, the parking is covered with solar panels, and they offer EV charging stations. I have nothing but praise for this place.

There is nothing I could think of that we didn't like. The only thing I could say, is I wish we would have stayed longer, and not just one night.
