The place itself was lovely....great location very close to the town centre. Loved the balconies where you could have a hot mug of coffee in tje morning. Hot and cold water dispenser available

There's an RM50 depisit required which is not mentioned anywhere in their advertising. This can cause some inconvenience of you reach late and aren't prepared for it. We had to go around looking for a money changer. Also, the bathroom was not spotless, and the light switches were abit dirt. A bit of extra cleaning could go a long way

Special point to the guy at the reception at day (i forgot to ask his name). He is working there for 1,5year and will answer questions with kindness and a good english. We also discuss about malaysia before our bus. We slept like babies. Hotel very calm at night also because it was not full as our room was close to the bathroom which is shared btw 4 rooms. Hot shower possible. Everything is clean 3minutes by feet from city centre. With the weather all becomes wet but no moisture on walls etc

The accomodation was a just a 5 minute walk from the local bus station. The hotel being tucked away from the Main Street meant little traffic noise could be heard at night. Check in was quick and easy and staff were very helpful. Although we didn’t use them - there was an option to hire mopeds on sight which would have been perfect if the weather was a bit better. The room it self was spacious enough for two adults and their luggage - and the mattress was VERY comfortable.

The shower/ toilet was separate from our room which I wasn’t aware of when I booked this accommodation however the facilities remained cleaned throughout - due to it being monsoon season when we visited we were a bit wet and cold so would have liked the water to be a bit warmer in the shower otherwise no complaints!

Our room was comfortable and quiet and the communal spaces were really nice to have access to (there are seating areas with tables on every floor, as well as seating areas in the lobby of both buildings and outside). It was convenient to the centre but in a quiet location off the main roads so not noisy. We appreciated the water coolers but mugs/cups would have been helpful.

Guests are required to remove shoes inside the buildings/kitchen area/rooms which is common and not an issue in itself, however we found the floors both inside the buildings and in our room to be a bit dirty. Our room had hairs all over the floor when we first arrived which we wiped up ourselves, and there were hairs/debris on the floors in the building/common areas. It is nice that access is given to the kitchen but it didn’t seem very hygienic (there were very old looking items in the fridge so wonder how often it is cleared out) and the drying racks were a bit grubby. There was also a lack of mugs/cups for guest use, it would have been really nice to have a couple of mugs in our guest room.

The golden lodge is superbly situated, very close to the main street but far enough that you aren't bothered by the noise. Our room and as we could see the other rooms are quite large. The lodge itself is also spacious and offers various places to sit and relax. They also offer hot water and powder for coffee/tea bags for free.

The walls do appear to be made out of paper and you can hear everything:D if you are a light sleeper this could pose a problem. The shower is as it appears typical for Malaysia not closed off from the toilets, so everything becomes wet in the bathroom when you shower. As the rooms don't ventilate well it also stays wet unless you mop it up with your towels. The water of the shower also did not become very hot, it was definitely warm and good enough for us but in case you are chilled to your bones, it might not do.

This is an amazing hotel. Every floor has a shared space with a table and chairs or a balcony with sofa's. It was a little rainy during our stay and it was amazing to lay on the sofa's in the balcony and watch the rain fall and hear the birds sing. Amzing stay. Very frienly staff, we extended with 2 nights! They offer a nice tour that we took aswell (take the day tour, really reconment!) There was a very cute kitty name Mini, I hope if you visit you can meet her.

Nice location. 5 min away from the food stores (don't expect much of those). 5 min away from all the cafes and joints. 10min walk to the start of trail #10/11. About 15min walk to the trailhead #9 and #5. The staff are nice and helpful. Public kitchen zone with a fridge and other appliances. Leisure zones and tables on each floor.

Our room was a bit small (other rooms we saw seemed bigger). The shower head has one clamp in a single direction with no adjustment. Since shower is combined with the rest of bathroom, you end up soaking everything around every time.

We stayed for 2 nights. The room is clean, the hot water heater works well, it was raining like cats and dogs one night and we wanted to get to the pantry but there was no roof connected to the pantry it was a bit of an inconvenience .

The so-called TV room ( TV) size is very good but the odour of cats litter or something else not sure but it wasn't pleasant, the small little pillows on the couch smells too. Seriously need to look into it!!!!!
