Just a good hotel in the lower price class for its ratings. Free parking behind a huge fence made me feel secure about the hired car.

I had a problem to get the television working on the normal Dutch channels. I also did not like the price for breakfast: Euro 17,50 per person, no sign of a children's rate. Being with wife and 2 kids I did not want to fork out euro 70 for breakfast and we had a picknick near the Biesbosch with food we bought in the supermarket for 1/10 of that price.

The staff were superb, the breakfast and bar were also excellent. The hotel was clean and stylish. I was able to check in early (though this may not always be available).

The room design was very elegant but not so practical. For example, there was no shelf or table by the bedside to put a glass of water or a phone/alarm on, nor any USB sockets. No basket or shelf in the shower for soap etc. It looked great but a bit awkward to use. The hotel is a bit of a trek out of town. It's a very pleasant walk through parks and tree-lined lakes, but takes about half an hour.

This was a great hotel! We thought from the photos it was a little off the beaten path but actually it was really central! The staff were just delightful and so friendly, shoutout to the employee with the cross tattoo on his arm, he was incredibly helpful, kind and friendly and gave us lots of good local tips! The fact the compound locked at night and had security also made us feel safe to leave our bikes locked up outside. Great hotel!

No electric load installation I paid € 421.25 / night ("Hot Deal" !!!) for an ordinary room with 2 narrow beds. OK, I ordered it so because I am used to order rooms in Bastion, I trusted them and I did not realize it was that expensive. But whe I contacted the customer service, they politely wimped me off saying they have a "dynamic pricing system". They refused categorically to refung part of the price. I understand that the price raises when the demand is high. But not without limits. This is, according to my mind, actually usury. Therfore, I will NEVER return to Bastion hotels, whatever which one. It is a pitty, because the people in the hotel can nothing about it. But this way of pricing is, for me, unadmissible.

Simple but effective; nice modern rooms, very soundproof (double windows block out all noise of the road), good TV and power sockets next to the bed. The bathroom was up-to-date as well. Staff was friendly, beer at the bar not too expensive.

Mainly surrounded by office buildings (bike or car recommended), no lock on the bathroom door in the room. The style of the building itself was a bit like a classic 80s hotel, but to be honest I personally quite liked that.

The room was very nice, very clean and very comfy.. There were coffee capsules and a small coffee machine where you can make your own coffee.. The wifi was very good..

The location was a bit far if you want to walk (in case you need to leave at hours that there is not a bus, you need to take a taxi to central station)..

The rooms

The location was a bit difficult to access by first time visitors. The price was also on the high side.

I liked the size of the room and it was a clean, comfortable room.

Much further from Dordrecht than I originally thought, I wasn’t able to get here easily via Public transport. Also, at night there is a gate that restricted me from getting into the property (I walked from the city to the property, there’s no other entrance than through the car gate).

Not a complaint, since I know the location, but next to busy roads. Perfect hotel for a business night, not so much for a romantic get away.. 😂

The smell of weed all through the corridors. The poor lighting in the room and badly situated plug sockets meaning I could not see to do my hair.
