This place is enchanting. Beach, snorkeling, paddle and canoe, a bit of hiking if you want, not much to do... just to relax and enjoy! very quite, very peaceful. I wish to be back one day. The place is small but very beautiful and the staff is very helpful.

Nothing, few plastic trash is still present in the sea, but the resort cleans as much as they possibly can...

Super cute and remote place with paradise beaches. Kayaks and SUPs were free to use, as well as snorkeling gear. Three beautiful snorkeling spots were close by/in reach with the kayak. You can discover lots of colorful fish and crabs, we even saw a turtle while snorkeling. The island is a hidden gem that is not overrun by tourists yet. There are a few locals living there as well. The island is very small but even got a scuba diving school that picks you up in front of your hotel. The staff was very welcoming and super helpful when my partner got sick. They even went to the mainland with us to help translate at the doctors. The huts were very comfortable with a big bed, fridge and air conditioning. Spacious open air bathroom with hot water.

Really lovely, amazing location. Gili Asahan is so peaceful. Great staff, very helpful, great with the kids. Great breakfast menu for those wanting to be healthy (eg detox smoothies) and nice food overall. Nice sandy beach, with some broken coral (bring the right footwear!) kids loved building sandcastles, swimming, snorkeling just a few hundred metres along the beach! Small fridge in the room. Free snorkel gear, kayaks, paddle boards. Scuba school 10 mins walk round island, they'll pick you up in the boat. Villa steps from the beach was fabulous! Photos were fair representation.

A little expensive for drinks and food. Restaurants at hotels either side edged it on food options (but also nice to have such choices). Water for showers slightly salty, but part of being on a small island. 2 bedroom villa is 2 separate double bed units sharing a veranda - lovely, but not quite what I'd expected. Kids preferred pancakes (crepes) next door! :-)

Beautifully designed little hotel! Lovely traditional hut with gekko ceiling, large outdoorish bathroom, lovely terrace even during rain. Loved the icebath. Lovely staff! Great location, short walk to good snorkeling. Ecolodge ponies next door! We much preferred Asahan to Gede!

Big minus for not having mattress protection- only a thin sheet. We resolved this by leaving the quiltcover under us..Also gekko droppings in bed because no ” ceiling” or mosquito netting on the four posterbed. Also running out on milk and chicken was a bit curious.

Great, beautiful and comfortable accommodation in Gili Asahan. The bungalow was clean and beautiful and so was the bathroom. The resort is right in front of the beach with SUP boards available. The restaurant was also lovely and breakfast was great. The staff was really nice and super helpful, they helped us getting a transfer to the hotel and the boat to Gili Asahan was waiting for us when we arrived, although it was already a bit late. They also received us with welcome drinks which is always a nice touch. Beautiful beach right in front of the hotel. Thank you Mita for all your support! Comfortable beds, spacious and clean room, nice garden and good overall atmosphere. We were there end of march, it was very quite. Breakfast is excellent, smoothie bowls, eggs, tea, coffee, fancy juice options. best coffee on the island. We had also great grilled fish at the restaurant. Yoga shala is nice with equipments, but no yoga classes. Cold plunge was not super cold, around 15 degree, sauna also good quality, but takes 30-40 min to heat up. You can use them any time you want. The island is full of families with small kids, super safe. They also have a cool boat with rooftop deck that can take you for snorkeling trip for extra charge. The reef is not it the best shape but there is a blue coral type that is unique in the area. There are kajaks and SUPs, also very good quality that you can use any time for free.

The place is expensive (includes breakfast) but non-filter coffee comes as an extra fee for breakfast (espresso, latte...) for a place that is 3x more expensive than the places in the sekotong area, they could include that. We also had to pay the parking for our motorbikes during our stay, which again, just include this in the overnight fee and don't make customers pay for that...

VAYAM’s location is nothing short of perfect. They are tucked on the south coast of Gili Asahan where boats can dock, the wind isn’t too strong and right by some restaurants & small town which are super accessible if you are looking for some alternatives. The hotel itself is an experience! We stayed in a triangle bungalow with views directly to the sea, it was always clean, had very comfortable beds, great shade curtains for the kids and fantastic outdoor shower that was large enough for the whole family to fit. Amenities & facilities: We also took advantage of the ice bath many times a day as well as the yoga shala where the kids and parents can practice - and the babies have enough space to crawl. Low season was actually perfect for us as we had the entire place to ourselves! We loved that we could also use the stand up paddles and kayaks whenever we needed to head out to do short snorkeling trips. We also did a snorkel tour to the neighboring islands and VAYAM packed a wonderful fruit and drinks cooler with towels & all the snorkeling gear we needed (including for the kids!). It was truly magical. The best part about this whole resort is honestly the staff. We celebrated my birthday at the resort and they made the most wonderful little celebration with the entire staff coming out to sing, decorate our room and sing a birthday song. I was truly grateful! The greenskeeper / boat driver was also always making sure the place was in tip top shape! The florals are incredible here. The housekeeping always knew when to come in/out and replace our towels etc. And the rest of the staff were just incredibly attentive to our needs and knew all of our names by the end - I honestly felt so sad when we left. I did feel at the end, it was like being amongst one big family ❤️

Nothing. Would have been nice with a pool but we were able to use the pool next door so it wasn’t a big deal.

A beautiful boutique resort in Gili Asahan! Lovely and clean room, comfortable bed. Stunning area. They provide us a free boat, and free sauna and ice bathing, free mask for snorkeling, SUP board and kayak. Even they have a free place for yoga as well. The restaurant had delicious food and all staffs are very kind and helpful. We really enjoyed to stay here:)

Location on sunset side of island with good snorkeling just 20 meters away. Great staff!! Beautifully appointed restaurant with very delish breakfast included. Try tuna salad for lunch. Yum! Very reasonable menu prices. A/C in all glass enclosed grass huts. Infrared sauna and yoga space available. I’m gonna miss this oasis.
