What an amazing place. Everything about our stay was above all expectations. The room and that Bathroom were spotless. The breakfast was great with so much choice. I really can't put into words how good the food was in the restaurant. Our entire stay felt like we had come home. You can tell the owners put everything into the place they really made us so feel welcome. We parked our motorcycles at the rear of the property behind a locked gate making our stay even more relaxed.

In our apartment there were no facilities to hang wet towels or bathing costumes after a swim which was a nuisance. No tea or coffee making facilities in the apartment, nor a fridge which would have been nice.

Country style accommodation set in spacious grounds, good clean pool and a larger one is being completed. Staff are caring & very efficient, standard of breakfast & dinner I found impressive. Ample parking space with the offer to bring motorcycles inside, I did not find this necessary as for me this mini village atmosphere felt very relaxed. Plenty of semi open terrain around if you fancy a stroll or a bike, worth more than a quick overnight, I stayed two nights and as I was exploring the Douro area I returned for a 2nd 2 nights on my return north.

A beautiful family run hotel. Secure parking for our 8 motorbikes, could easily have accepted double that! The standard of room and amenities was fantastic, spotlessly clean, set in lovely grounds and everything on site you could want. We had a fabulous set meal and local wine in the onsire bar and restaurant. We played music and enjoyed ourselves through the evening. Rita the host was very professional. Would highly recommend.

Easy check in. Very friendly, helpful staff. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. The on site restaurant provided excellent, good value meals. Breakfast was plentiful with excellent choices. Parking behind gates for motorcycles.

Great rural hotel with a large garden, two swimming pools and a restaurant. Air conditioned rooms. The dinner was delicious (prior reservation necessary). Very reasonable pricing.

Attention - regular check-in only until 7 PM!

Great staff, amazing breakfast similar to a good 4 star hotel. Eggs done in different ways, options of juices, breads, cakes, cereals, fruits, yogurts, really good.

Our room was close to the ac equipment that was outside so we had some noise if we keep the windows open. She shower was broken and we had to improvise.

A wonderful location in the countryside with hardly anyone else around. The kindness of Rita who welcomed us and the restaurant staff who came in both evenings to cook just for us. The amazing viewpoints within a mile or so of the hotel.

Very comfortable beds, charming spaces. They were very helpful with a later check in because of a flight delays.

We had a bit of trouble finding the hotel in the dark, would recommend traveling during daylight.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located outside of the city of Miranda do Douro which is only 10 to 15 minutes away in the country. It is so peaceful and quiet. Paula is the friendliest hostess and made us feel at home. She prepared the most delicious homecooked dinner for us our first evening. Our room was very cozy and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was huge with a great variety of choices. We enjoyed walking around Miranda do Douro and did a boat ride at the International Biological Station on the Douro River which at that point is between Portugal and Spain. Paula gave us directions to two amazing Miradouros (lookout points) - Miradouro Sao Joao das Arribas (lovely afternoon hike within walking distance of the hotel) and Miradouro Fraga do Puio (incredible view of the Douro River) just outside of the town of Picote (25 minute drive from the hotel). We also had a delicious dinner one evening at Restaurante O Mirandes in Miranda do Douro. Thank you, Paula, for your warm hospitality.
