Tom was very welcoming and helpful. Gave good recommendations. The outdoor porch was pleasant, and it was nice to see the birds and hummingbirds. We enjoyed staying in the historic Coolidge room. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot. Kayaks, paddles and life jackets provided for an outing on the lake. It was great! Breakfast both days was very good (we had omelets, the Lily scramble, and pancakes). The dog She Ra was very friendly, and made our stay more enjoyable. Large selection of board games and cards. The sitting room was charming and comfortable.

Would have been nice to have the a/c on in the room when we arrived--room was a bit stuffy. The stairs were a bit challenging for my mother. The location on route 100 was a bit noisy at times.

Breakfast was great, staff was friendly and the atmosphere was quiet - not much going on. But, we spent our days elsewhere so didn't need to be entertained at the Inn.

We were there the last few days before shutting down for the shoulder season - prepping for winter. Was a little difficult finding staff - they were all pretty busy doing stuff. But wasn't a big deal.

I love our stay at Echo Lake. The location was absolutely beautiful and the the property itself was gorgeous as well. The staff was very helpful and courteous. L

I wish our bathroom was a bit bigger. It was smaller than a cruise ship bathroom but overall the stay was quite pleasant

Located on Black River with scenery galore. Historic with lots of public spaces. Indoor hottub spa open year round. Outdoor pool is seasonal. Food is excellent. Tavern/bar well stocked.

Hot water in shower/tub make take a little while to warm up. Expected with historical property.

Very quaint, “ Hallmark Movie “ style Inn. We stayed at the CarriageHouse, which had 2 BR, a separate living room with sleeper sofa , kitchen and 1 bathroom. Dinner and breakfast were freshly prepared and absolutely delicious!

A little dated

The history of the inn. Coolidge actually used this inn as a summer White House. The boating on the lake, the tennis courts, the sitting room, the outstanding meal.

our check in by Tom the end keeper went flawlessly and he covered every detail of getting us set up and are very quiet and well situated room. There’s a beautiful lake just a short walk away if you wanna borrow canoe or kayak they have it. Nice little bar to sit in and have a drink before heading down to dinner. We shared multiple different plates and everything was delicious. The mushroom soup was over the top incredible. The duck was also very scrumptious. Our room was quiet and we slept great on the comfy beds. I had French toast the next morning with Vermont maple syrup and that did not disappoint. We asked for a little bit of a late check out and it seem to be no problem at all. There’s ample parking across the street and we played a few rounds of corn hole before dinner on the pretty meadow. I would highly recommend this place. It was an easy drive to Boston the next day

Amazing, kind, and flexible staff. We had weather related issues and they assisted us in making it work well- the cookies, hot chocolate, and the scones with breakfast were all nice extras.

Friendly staff at a historic inn.

Breakfast was only served between 8-9am and we needed to get an earlier start so we didn’t get breakfast and front desk staff didn’t arrive until just as we were leaving.

The breakfast was excellent; the servers efficient and friendly. The location of the inn was nestled in beautiful scenery near a gorgeous lake and very accessible to scenic routes. While the Inn is old, it is quaint and has a real charm about it.

A comfortable chair placed in the room would have added comfort and a microwave in the room would have been nice. There are also rather steep stairs to climb to reach the room.
