Situated in the beautiful maze-like old town of Salerno, Home47 is an absolute gem ! Carmine (the lovely host) couldn't be more friendly or helpful and while she speaks fantastic English, was so very patient with my very limited Italian, as I wanted to try to speak it She also makes a delicious cheese omelette for breakfast ! The room was huge ! Spotlessly clean, very well equipped with the 3 most important things....great air con (and a fan in the beautiful mezzanine bedroom), very comfortable bed and a great shower. I'd love to return to Salerno and would absolutely love to stay here again. Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️.

Nothing - everything was fantastic.

We had a brilliant stay in the loft room. We had everything we needed for our little family of three, and the location was fantastic – right in the old town. The seafront is a couple of minutes' walk away, and there's a lovely green park just across the road from the apartment. There's also a huge choice of restaurants and shops nearby. What made the stay really special, though, was the kind and attentive service from the host Carmen. She gave us lots of helpful recommendations and was very sweet and friendly with our 8-year-old son. Her freshly prepared breakfasts were a daily highlight for us – especially the homemade cakes. Carmen was also very helpful before our arrival, helping me book transport from the airport to the B&B. Her cat and dog are both incredibly cute, too!

The loft room is beautiful and absolutely huge. But it is very sparsely decorated and furnished, which, combined with the very high ceiling, makes it feel quite cavernous and lacking cosiness. Even adding a few tall plants would help, or putting some books / trinkets on the big empty glass shelves.

The host, Carmen, is extremely friendly and does her best to help with anything you need. She also provides homemade cakes as part of the daily breakfast. The room was huge, and has a decent kitchen. The location has great access to local bars and restaurants, as well as the beach and a supermarket. We loved our stay here.

Not really close to the station and luggage must be brought up stairs.

Home47 was a great choice for our stay in Salerno. The location in a neighbourhood gave the feeling of Italian community living. It is close to a lovely park, an easy walk to a swimming beach and about 30 minutes easy walk to the ferry terminal for trips to towns along the coast of travel to Sorrento or Naples. The daily breakfast was lovely, a very home prepared feel and with plenty of choice. The apartment is very secure, access is through a shared, gated courtyard and the room itself has two locking entrance doors. We were warmly welcomed and nothing was too much trouble for our hostess Carmen. There are small grocery stores, and a pizzeria on the doorstep with other eating places very close by. The hourly churchbells are an added bonus.

Nothing, the place is not luxe but feels very authentic than staying in a hotel.

I loved this property for its ideal location in the old city, just across the street from the promenade. In only 15 minutes, you can walk to the port and catch ferries to Amalfi, Positano, and other stunning destinations. If you appreciate charming old family houses rich in history and heritage, this former family palazzo will delight you. The authentic Italian vibes and casual atmosphere make it even more inviting. What truly makes this place special is the incredibly warm hospitality of our host, Carmen. She bakes delicious lemon, apple and chocolate pies and serves coffee made the traditional Italian way in a moka pot. Waking up to such delightful breakfasts was a highlight of our stay, with everything you need for a great start to the day. We genuinely enjoyed experiencing the warmth of Southern Italy during our time here. Carmen, sei incredibile! Here are some pictures to illustrate our lovely experience.

Our host Carmen was wonderful. It was such a pleasure to meet her and her family. Our mission now is to try and recreate her beautiful breakfast at home...her homemade lemon cake was absolutely delicious! What a wonderful way to start each day. The location could not have been better, the old town is beautiful, and you are literally a few hundred yards from the beach...perfect for cooling off after a day exploring. We stayed in the apartment with two bedrooms, and this was perfect for a family of 3/4....our 14 year old daughter really loved having her own space. We would wholeheartedly recommend Home47 and we fully intend on coming back as soon as we are able, we wouldn't stay anywhere else! Thank you so much Carmen. 🥰xxx

Nothing at all.

Carmen the owner is so keen to please! She answered all my questions before I arrived and when you see inside the B&B it shows her love. Everything to please her guests. Sweets in dishes and something for all nationalities at breakfast! NOT 🚫 just cakes! Fresh scrambled eggs, cheese, meat, nuts, cereal, lots of fruit and tomatoes and of course...Italian cake & coffee!! And as it was Christmas 🎄🎄 Thank you Carmen! Location is in old town in a 1700 building. My room had huge doors with a mini balcony.Do look up at the ceiling, probably original art.. My ceiling was fabulus and a long way up! Ferry to Almafi along prom 25 mins.

Nothing!🎄🎄

Extremely spacious room. Immaculate condition as far as cleanliness. Our host Carmen catered to our every needs. Her coffee she made fresh for us every morning was sooo delicious as was her breakfast. Every thing was fresh and she made you eggs any which way you wanted them. She was there at our disposal for what ever we wanted or needed and so very friendly and spoke to us at length. The location was perfect, walking distance to every thing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it very highly. Thank you Carmen and her team for a very pleasant, enjoyable stay. Definitely will go there again.

Every thing was perfect

Nestled in the heart of Salerno, Home47 is an absolute gem waiting to be discovered. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in warmth and hospitality that exceeded all expectations. Carmen is an unparalleled host. From the warm greeting upon arrival to the personalized recommendations for exploring the area, every interaction was filled with genuine care and attention to detail. Beyond the great comforts of the B&B itself, the location is ideal for exploring the surrounding area: whether strolling through the streets of the Salerno old town or boarding ferries to Capri or Amalfi Coast. One morning we were in a hurry and had to catch the leaving ferry to Amalfi: Carmen was so kind enough to pack the breakfast for us so we could eat it on board. By the way breakfast was great: each morning we were treated to a mouthwatering spread of freshly baked pastries, locally sourced fruits, and delectable homemade dishes, one above all: delicious "pastiera napoletana".

In the low season the floor might turn to be cold. We would have appreciated slippers. This is only a minor and not really pressing issue and we are sure it will be taken into account.

Loved it. Nice location. But the room was so big and beautiful. Yes there are some quirky bits. Like the 5 doors to get in. And the bathroom was a little dated. BUT it added to the charm - I loved it so much. The host was the loveliest person I spoke to in Italy. I was practising Italian and she made sure she spoke Italian back slowly. But the breakfast was out of this world. Each morning freshly made cake, biscotti and the usual cooked egg, hand and cheese. Freshest fruit and best cappuccino. Thank you.

It’s maybe a bit of a long walk to the port or train station, but only 20 minutes. A can gets you there quick enough.
