We were lucky to find a place to stay and to have dinner on Thanksgiving in Augusta. The location close to the river walk was lovely. Overall our stay was ok, but a few things could be improved.

No access to WIFI. I had booked with Booking.com, and I was denied access, i.e. I could not enter the WIFI, because "my email adress was already used". It was kind of hanger. I called IT assistance, but they could not help me, restart did not solve the problem, finally I was sent back into the waiting loop where I could listen over and over gagain to all the nice things the Marriott group was offering, except WIFI. For dinner I ordered a Starter called Artichoke with a cheese dipping, but there were no artichoke, just plain melted cheese. They took it back and did not charge that starter. Most people working in the hotel were friendly and helpful, but some unfortunatley not so much, e.g. at breakfast.

Location was super-convenient as we didn't have to drive back and forth to the convention. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming, answering all of our questions. The room was very nice and the beds very comfortable. The hottub was a welcome addition, especially after walking around all day. I loved the fact that we didn't have to drive to and from eating locations, as not only were ones available on-site, but also within convenient walking distance. There was virtually no noise at night, which was welcome.

Due to modernization of the elevators being in-progress (which i assume to be maintenance/upgrades of same), there were times where waiting on the elevators took longer than expected, particularly when checking out. Also there seemed to not be many luggage carts available upon check-in or check-out. These inconvenient but did not dissuade us from planning on coming next year.

Staff was excellent and friendly.

My wife is allergic to dogs and cats so I asked for a room that was never used for pets. I was told that the hotel does not have rooms that were pet free. Other hotels, have rooms that are never used for pets so people with allergies do not have a problem. Our rooms were clean and not carpetted so my wife did well but the hotel's belief that pets are more important than people is sad.

Convenient for the events that we were here to attend. Clean. Parking excellent. The view of the Savannah River from our room was breathtaking and I would like this view each time we come!!!!

When taking a shower, the water took about 20 minutes to get hot.

Amazing location. Great room. Great personal. The entire building is gorgeous.

The pools are advertised as heated, but they weren't. It was the only disappointment of our stay. Hopefully, they have an inside jacuzzi, but we just couldn't enjoy the outside pool.

Exceptional customer service 👏 The beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. All the staff were friendly.

Location was great and close to the event venue we were attending.

The check in and check out for the Suites side was in the Hotel. Would be nice to not have to walk to the other side.

Spacious room, good breakfasts, very nice personal.

Bad sounding isolation. You can hear original talk in the next room. Small swimming pool.

My only dislike was the bathroom door. Not a fan of the sliding barn door for privacy when in the bathroom.
