Villa Elisa came recommended by friends who have stayed there six times. We can now see why they love it so much. The hotel is beautiful in every way and the staff are too. It’s a family run hotel and all the better for that. The gorgeous grounds are kept in fantastic condition and the pool is superb. Great breakfast which you can enjoy in the grounds as well as indoors. We took advantage of the very convenient parking. Our room had a fantastic view of Bordighera and the sea. Thank you to all the staff there and we hope to see you again.

Nothing not to like.

Beautiful property in lovely Bordighera. The hotel had a pool which was heated and a spa area. We were offered use of the spa facility but we were unfortunately unable to take them up on it. The bed was very comfortable and the room quite spacious. Breakfast was good with the usual range of foods on offer. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient and safe.

The bathroom perhaps is in need of an update. On a personal note I really dislike long life milk which often seems to be used in hotels abroad.

Pool side loungers, garden, breakfast, room with sea view, pool and shower, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, air conditioning in room; waiter service at breakfast & poolside was excellent

The entrance hallway and dining room could be quite warm and didn't seem to have air conditioning.

Superb! The gardens are exceptional. The creative idea of a table and two chairs in different secluded settings works so well. The pool was a real treat. New, pristine and a beautiful setting. Very comfy cabanas in attractive settings. Peace! Food was excellent. Wide variety of items at breakfast such as apple strudel! Delicious. Lunch and dinner were both very good. Very impressive spa. A personal touch to 'soften' the single room decor.

Small relaxed hotel with lovely front gardens and further garden and pool terrace at the rear. Rooms are a good standard. It has a chilled atmosphere which is exactly what I was looking for. Comfortable and not all stuffy. Wonderful.

Excellent breakfast. Good variety. Continental and hot options. Nice spa and lovely gardens and sun loungers around heated pool.

Bit far from train station. 15 minute walk to beachfront but located in beautifyl street. Some mosquitoes.

The breakfast buffet could be more diversified The bathroom was really small and the positioning of the toilet in the bathroom very impractical The WiFi is horribly slow... that has to be fixed The charge for the pet (EUR 15 per day) is a rip off considering that a cat isn't generating any additional work for the staff (we did all the cat-support)

The bathroom is quite outdated The spa can get a bit crowded on weekends, so you really need to book ahead it you want a spa package

The garden of Eden around the villa and everything there, the pool, the rest areas, Teresa the cat were phenomenal. The common areas were right out of a movie set taking you back to the early 20th century. Great views from the balcony and quite romantic from the outside and the common areas. The staff were very friendly and efficient.

Our comfort room was the size of a stateroom on a cruise, with the only difference being the tall ceiling. So it was too tiny to be comfortable. We only had 2 carry on suitcases and were running out of space. Also the decor was too dated (bulky 90s wood stuff). I think the room could have been more pleasant if it used minimalist modern furniture and had a bath facelift (also the shower pressure was non-existent).

Old-world charm in Bordighera: this is an accurate description of Villa Elisa. An old, well-kept, late 19th-century villa on the high part of town, with a lovely view of the Mediterranean in the distance. Our room had a balcony overlooking a beautiful garden and the town below. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the cordiality of the staff, the lovely swimming pool and the excellent breakfast that was served every morning. We would love to return one day.

A free frigobar with water, beer and soft drinks would be a welcome touch that guests might enjoy. Several hotels offer this kind of courtesy to their guests nowadays.
