- breakfast only average with bad coffee for Italian standards (the only place we visited in Sicily within two weeks with no espresso machine and coffee service) - big hotel with tour busses staying there - especially crowded during certain time at breakfast - room was on ground level and the window/ glass door was towards the courtyard - we didn’t feel comfortable leaving the window open at night and the air conditioning was super cold and noisy

This hotel is built into the cliff edge of Ragusa.It is historic on the outside yet modern inside. The hotel is built into the cliff side and rooms are large and comfortable. We stayed at the lowest level( garden rooms). If you stay here enter from road side and check without luggage at level two, leave luggage at level zero then return to zero and take your luggage to the room. Free parking at the base level is convenient which is huge bonus in Ragusa. Staff were great and a great breakfast was served on level four which has a beautiful outdoor dining area. Level six takes you directly in the main old town , all points of interest are within a few minutes walk.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at San Giorgio Palace Hotel, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the breathtaking view. Nestled in a picturesque location, the hotel offers stunning vistas that made every moment feel like a scene from a postcard. The rooms were nothing short of spectacular. Designed with a keen eye for aesthetics, they were a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The decor was tasteful and modern, creating a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the amenities provided were top-notch, adding to the overall convenience and enjoyment of my stay. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt special and well-cared-for. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile was evident in every interaction. From personalized recommendations for local attractions to prompt and courteous service at all times, the staff's dedication to excellence was truly impressive. Overall, my stay at the hotel was outstanding. With its beautiful views, stylish and comfortable rooms, and exceptional service, it provided a perfect escape and a memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable getaway.

The room was big, clean, and comfortable with a great bathroom. It had a good bed with good pillows. The room looked like new, and the whole hotel appeared brand new. Also, it had an amazing view. The location was amazing, close to everything you need to visit in Ragusa. It felt safe to walk around both day and night. The staff was very kind and professional; they explained to us step by step how to get to a bar we were looking for. The parking was easy and convenient. The breakfast offered infinite possibilities of what to eat with great quality. The air conditioning was wonderful, something key at this time of year. All the staff we met were fluent in English and Spanish.

When you arrive by car, be careful if you enter the name of the hotel in Waze or Google Maps, because it will take you to a zone where you can't enter with your car. You have to enter the address of the entrance located in the lower part of the hotel.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The bed was fantastic! I find most European hotels with very firm mattresses and this hotel had softer, more comfy ones. The location was perfect and the unique elevator made it super easy to get up from the lower road and into the town:)

What I don't like is the fact that Booking.com fills in a frowny face for anything you say that you didn't like. The items I mentioned were trivial and did not affect my overall satisfaction with this property! The side tables to the bed were built into the wall and were too far away from the bed. I pulled the desk chair over and used that... More pillows would have been greatly appreciated.

The hotel was right in the middle of everything you want to see in Ragusa Ibla! The hotel is a combination of a palace and a convent that were seamlessly connected and renovated into a beautiful hotel. The room was modern and very clean, and the breakfast that was served in an upper floor had an amazing view and the ability to enjoy breakfast outdoors if you would like. There were so many Delicious choices, including eggs, meats, breads, yogurt, fruit, juices, and different types of coffees made when you ask, all of the staff was super helpful and super kind, including Sophia at the front desk and at breakfast!

Not a thing! But be sure and get specific directions prior to arriving so that you don’t get trapped in a small road with a car like we did lol. But that was our fault because I did not communicate prior to our arriving. Once I messaged the hotel, they were able to give me very very specific directions. That was much easier than what I was doing!

The staff were excellent, efficient, welcoming and not just those at reception. Requests were dealt with immediately. The view was spectacular. And the bed was huge and really comfortable. The parking was good. The hotel did not exceed my expectations because, having read previous comments, I had expected excellence and that is what we got.

The only disappointing thing was that, despite being surrounded in orange trees, there was no freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast.

The setting was beautiful. We booked a room with access to the garden. Room 8 was private and with a lovely spacious outdoor area. We appreciated the easy access - by lift- to the old city. All staff were very friendly at reception and breakfast and also the cleaning ladies in their neat uniforms. Many good restaurants were within walking distance. We had a lovely, comfortable stay. Very good security.

Although the parking for the car was in the street- it was watched by cameras in reception. Our car was safe.

Perfect location, comfortable and large modern room, very comfy bed, and great shower. Everything was perfect and exceeded my expectations. Staff was very kind and friendly and Eric in particular went out of his way to guide us online to the hotel. Great person!!Breakfast buffet was also of high quality with all you could possibly want. One cannot fault this hotel with easy parking outdoors and access via the private elevator to the main square and restaurants down the street. Loved it here❤️🇮🇹

The location of the hotel is perfect! At first, we weren't sure becuz the hotel faces a fairly busy road. But once you enter the hotel, you don't even know the road is there. Access to the city center is thru a back entrance & then you are literally a 5-7 min walk to the central palazzo of Ragusa . . . beautiful Cathedral, restaurants, shopping, nightlife, etc. Sitting out on the beautiful terrace that faces the mountains in the morning, while you enjoy an AMAZING breakfast, was a highlight of the trip!! The staff was AWESOME & very accommodating!!

Really nothing! We will definitely be returning to Ragusa & the San Giorgio in the future!!
