From arrival to departure, starting from the front office, the staff treated us very well. They were courteous and considerate. CEO Mr. Sumith Wijesinghe's very attentive nature is commendable. We had our dinner at the restaurant, and it was a blend of different Sri Lankan flavours with an international touch. Although it was a buffet dinner, Mr. Sumith arranged some of the dishes on the table. That was a different experience. Throughout, he and the F&B manager were looking after the guests and fulfilling their needs. The swimming pool was well located, but we were unable to use it due to the heavy rain. This hotel gives you a homely feeling because of their friendly nature.

Truly the best place to stay in Anuradhapura! The service was exceptional, and the staff were warm and welcoming. The highlight for us was definitely the stunning pool area, we spent hours relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. I also had a full-body massage at the Ayurvedic spa, and it was absolutely amazing, deeply soothing and refreshing. I’ve tried spa treatments in the Maldives and in other hotels, but this one truly stood out. It was better than any I’ve experienced before. A truly memorable experience. I’d love to come back and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Anuradhapura!

Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The rooms were spacious, clean, and featured a private balcony that provided a serene retreat. The restaurant offered a diverse menu featuring both local and international cuisine. The chef's culinary skills were truly impressive, making every meal a delightful culinary experience. The hotel boasts a large, superb swimming pool, perfect for relaxation. The spa service was excellent, offering a range of rejuvenating treatments, including soothing massages, refreshing facials, and invigorating body therapies. The skilled therapists ensured a deeply relaxing experience, leaving us completely refreshed and revitalized. The serene ambiance, combined with aromatic essential oils and calming music, created the perfect setting for unwinding. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable experience.

We had originally booked a twin room (room only) but asked for a double room with a queen-size bed. The hotel staff, most obligingly, made the alteration for us, and we really appreciated their support! Even though our booking was without meals, we had dinner at their buffet, which was superb and provided plenty of choice. We ordered breakfast the following morning from the menu, and it was absolutely tasty! The swimming pool was great, and we liked being there very much. Additionally, the location is nice, just in front of Thissa Wewa, with a calm and nice view. In total, it was a great stay with good service. I would highly recommend it!

We returned to the Heritage Hotel after 2 previous positive experiences of staying there. The most compelling aspects of this property are its location on the banks of the Tissa Wewa, within easy reach of the sacred sites of Anuradhapura, a great swimming pool that makes for the ideal place to relax in the afternoons, and the friendly and attentive staff. We enjoyed a very warm welcome and efficient check in, thanks to Janaka, the front desk manager. We were running late and wanted to quickly set off to Ruwanweliseya, and Janaka ensured that we were able to do this. We also had some delicious meals, both at the well stocked buffets and when ordering ‘a la carte’. The service provided by the staff under the leadership of the restaurant manager, Hemantha, was excellent.

Some of the bathroom and room fittings are a bit old and in need of updating. However, they were mostly functional and clean, just not in the best condition.

Heritage Hotel Anuradhapura exceeded all my expectations! The entire place was beautiful and immaculately clean. An ideal place to stay in Anuradhapura. Nice and calm location. Good selection of foods. Very nice staff in the restaurant. and excellent service. Actually, we arrived at the Hotel late evening, and we wanted to have dinner half an hour before the closure. However, we had the opportunity to dine leisurely, and the Restaurant Manager himself stayed until we finished, attending to our needs. So kind staff, excellent service
