The villa iis new to the owners so this is their 1st season and we were the 1st English people to stay there . The villa is right on a private pebble beach water shallow enough to swim in but take sea shoes as lots of pebbles. The owner and staff are absolutely wonderful, friendly helpful nad nothing was to much trouble for them . The villa is 2.5 hours from Catania Aiport and 5 hours from Palermo airport so a car is an absolute must as you will need to drive to the villa and to also enjoy the surrounding areas . The dining area had a lovely sea side vibe ,bright and airy and spotlessly clean .The food was DELICIOUS ,made fresh to order ,breakfast was ample also ,fresh fruit salad, croissants, yogurt ,just right to get you on your way but also cooked food is available if you wish . I recommend tring the messina beer with sea salt ,very smooth and tasty . All in all a very relaxed and friendly stay and I wish the proprietors all the success as they deserve it .

Pillows were not the best could do with something softer

Amazing location right on the sea: the view and ambience are outstanding! Our room was big and comfortable, with a stunning view. Big bonus is the restaurant where we spent a couple of very enjoyable and delicious evenings! The little beach is charming and offers very nice snorkelling options. Two sand beaches at walking distance.

Breakfast was basic.

Simone and the whole staff were simply incredible ! Very sweet and nice, Simone always recommended us new places to visit in the surroundings and prepared diner with such good care. The size of the room was really big, the bathroom as well ! All rooms have a Seaview with a balcony. The lounge and dinner area is really cute and comfy. There are lovely cats around as well. We really recommend this place and can't wait to come back !

The most amazing view and sunset, with a little cove where we sat and had our breakfast. Short (20min) walk to a sandy beach and a lovely little bar. The view of the sea - stunning. Clean and tidy room, mini fridge and a balcony. The host was very friendly and welcoming, thank you! Hope to see you again one day!

The approach, through streets of ruined poly tunnels and rubbish, but don’t worry it’s the most beautiful place when you arrive!!

This place is pure bliss! If you are looking for luxury, amenities, action, shopping - this is not for you. What this place is you just don't find anymore. A small little hotel ON THE WATER. Nothing fancy - Very simple rooms however suitable to the property, a breathtaking cove to swim, fish and snorkel in, a few lounge chairs to hang out in, a restaurant a stones throw from the water and an extemely friendly and chilled staff. We booked for one night and the minute we showed up knew we wanted to stay longer. Simone and his crew have not seen the last of us. Paradise!!!

There could of been several improvements - but for us it was perfect exactly as is!

Simone was an excellent host he suggested a wonderful beach/Lido called Migra with umbrellas, lounge chairs and restaurant. The location has parking and is beautiful but it is rocky therefore you will need water shoes. The location is very easy to get to Punta Secca and Marina di Ragusa. We loved our stay at Il Varo A Mare...

Nothing everything was perfect for us!!

wunderful location with a very relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was very nice and we loved staying at the private beach. We watched the sunset nearly every day and enjoyed our aperols while doing this.

The only drawback is that off season there is no restaurant close by. So you defnitely need a car to get dinner.

Very nice view, spacious room with nice AC and clean. Balcony is good too. Restaurant food was good and its convenient.

The path to the location is not in good condition and it's long. Quite bad at night. The restaurant food was good but that means below your room there is a restaurant... with music... at night until midnight. It's such a nice and remote location that this spoils the atmosphere a bit.

The setting is lovely, with views of the sea. The hotel is good value. We had great food cooked for us by the family - too late in the year for the restaurant to be open.

The surrounding area is an endless mass of polytunnels. Although we appreciate this is necessary for agriculture, it doesn’t make for lovely views. You need a car to get to this hotel, and there is nowhere really to go walking around. You’re limited to the small bay where the hotel is located. Other reviews speak highly of the owner but unfortunately he had gone away, another issue with us holidaying late in the season. His parents and other relatives were as helpful as they could be though!
