We stayed in this large lovely family hotel which is perfectly located above the harbour side of Calella during and after Sant Juan festival. The double room was overlooking the back of the hotel which was unfortunate so we didn't use the balcony. The large bed was really comfortable, aircon was easy to control and worked effectively. Small fridge was handy and the bathroom was well appointed with great shower. The communal areas are very relaxing, beautiful grounds, large swimming pool with attentive life guard and a smaller pool for toddlers. We had a few pool bar lunches and one restaurant lunch with lovely service and good quality. We had one evening meal which was good quality, average price for the area and really relaxing. We had complimentary cava and cake on the eve of Sant Juan after experiencing the fireworks.The hotel was fully booked during our stay but it didn't feel hectic or over crowded. We had a very late flight from Girona and hoped for a late check-out but unfortunately couldn't be facilitated but we were able to use the facilities that day and shower and refresh by the pool. Staff were generally very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would stay again given the opportunity.

Breakfast could have been more varied and expansive e.g. eggs cooked to order (without extra charge) and better quality yogurt (sorry Danone is not very natural or tasty). There are plenty of loungers but only 16 have umbrellas so there was alot competition after breakfast to get one. Many of the loungers are quite exposed to the sun for Irish skin like mine! or small children. We opted for parking which was expensive €18/day but I think overall cheaper than the public carpark across the road and it saved us the battle of looking for street parking and walking in the heat. There are alot of steps down to the dining and pool areas that are not accessible by lift so not great for disabled and guests with mobility issues.

The location was excellent- easy walking distance to the sea and restaurants. We did bring a car and paid for the secure outdoor parking which was gated and assigned. The grounds were nice and spacious with lots of comfy seating areas inside and out. Breakfast was very good and had a 3 hour window which accommodated an early riser to a later sleep in. Overall a very nice stay.

The air conditioning in the room could not be put below 19C (66F) which would normally be more than adequate, but it was inefficient and never really seemed to get there. It would shut off randomly during the day, so in the room having a siesta it would turn itself off completely, we’d get hot, turn it on again just to have it turn off again completely. Overnight it didn’t do that so it did seem like it was programmed to do that which was a negative for sure.

Friendly helpful staff, particularly when we had a small issue with parking. Lovely swimming pool and plenty of grounds to lounge. Breakfast was decent. Quality food at snack bar and a very tasty sangria. Location good, only ten mins walk to shops and bars and restaurants. All areas very clean and well kept.

Room was on the small size for a triple with no real view to speak of.

Absolutely everything. Spent 7 nights there. This hotel is a gem, we booked last minute so knew we’d have a room overlooking the car park but it was a good size, aircon worked well, the breakfast options were plentiful. After a hideous few months this hotel gave us the rest and respite we needed. We’ll be back.

Perfect location, fabulous hotel, good breakfast, lovely swimming pool

Customer service from the staff was very ordinary. We asked about a kettle for making tea and were told this was only offered in the deluxe rooms and made us feel like we were in the cheap seats. Staff were not over friendly or helpful. The swimming pool did not open until 11 am which we felt was too late as we would have liked to have a morning swim

What a beautiful property! The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the grounds were so lovely. Our room was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed a short walk into town and had dinner at Calau. We're still talking about those tapas!!

Our only complaint is that our stay was too short. Highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again! Complimentary parking would have been nice, but plenty of parking available on the street.

Fabulous hotel, excellent and friendly staff, beautiful grounds with a very large swimming pool and a child's pool. Very comfortable rooms with a large extra king size bed.

No foreign TV stations, only Spanish stations, the only hotel we have stayed without foreign stations.

Staff were really nice, helpful and accommodating. Not only were we able to check in early, we also received a upgrade to a lovely spacious room, with a beautiful view. It is in a convenient location, with the town and beach all in walking distance. Facilities are great and we were able to continue using the pool after checkout. Wide selection at breakfast with cava.

Nothing really, but the only slight annoyance was the lack of sockets next to the bed.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and it's always lovely to return. Our daughter was 15 months when we first came and she is now 26. We love the hotel and the fact that we have the best of both worlds with the gardens and the pool, yet are so close to the beautiful little coves too. We loved swimming in the sea and the pool and did so daily. The proximity to the centre of Calella de Palafruguel is perfect too with great restaurants and walks along the wonderful coastline.

Having used this hotel so often, we were slightly sad that the reception staff were not as friendly as in the past. We also had a cockroach in the bathroom on our first night, not what we expected. We did get it dealt with but first we were offered a move to a room with a restricted view which was never going to be acceptable as one reason we booked these rooms is the view.

We loved everything about this hotel - we were absolutely blown away by the room, breakfast, pool, gym, cleanliness, and the surrounding area. The property is beautiful, and the hotel itself is situated perfectly. We were a close walk to the beach and restaurants, but far enough that we did not hear anything at night.
