Unexpected gem. We read reviews, and I think there's some confusion about the parts of the inn--there's a section that is closer to the restaurant, and then this section, more recently built, which are more independent rooms. Grab the latter! The view of this hotel is remarkable: We got up early to view th sunrise, and it was spectacular. And if there's fog (which, be clear--there probably will be), it's a moody and serene experience. The room itself is very stark, but it's all about the view.
If noise bothers you, be aware that creaking floorboards from above happens--pay for the upper unit. If sharing a deck bothers you, pay for the upper unit. You basically hear everything. The room is also a bit Spartan, but it's ok. The view makes up for it.

Beautiful view of the harbor, convenient restaurant next door.
This is an Inn in the more traditional sense. The rooms are primarily for sleeping. Two beds, a couple chairs a bathroom, and not much else. All of the other amenities listed are in a common area. Not a huge problem if you are comfortable with that. Personally, I'm not comfortable putting food or medication in a refrigerator that everyone has access to. The bigger issue was specific to our room. There was a small deck that came right up to our window. The only access was from the common area. So, anyone, anytime of day could go out there and be inches away from your window. So much for the lovely view.

this place was amazing my son was graduating from hvac school in calias which is 4 hours from where I live so I decided to get a room closer the night before.all rooms in calias were booked up so even though this place was an hour away I booked it and am so glad I did the room was more like a home had a full kitchen 2 bedroom 2 bath 1 bath was off the master bed room also off the bedroom was a balcony over looking the ocean super private.the town was small but so magical looking less then 2 minutes from a Canadian crossing there are restaurants near by and also in the inn I stayed at but wasn't available for supper time at the time of my stay but does as summer comes.my only complaint was I was there for a graduation and didn't book for more then 1 day I would have loved to make a weekend or even a week of it and with a full kitchen and breathtaking views I would never have to leave. Definitely a gem and I hope to make it back soon

The hotel is located on a wharf, so the views are spectacular. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated. The common areas were generous and well provided. People complained there were no TV in the rooms, but I thought it was good so people spent more time in common areas and there was socializing. I enjoyed our stay and loved the whole area.
The beds although comfortable were a bit noisy. It felt strange to never see anyone from the staff, or that the place did not have a reception, it gave it a strange feeling. Maybe because it was off season?

The view was amazing. We had a king room w/balcony that had an ocean view which was spectacular. The room was just big enough for 2 people but had everything we needed. The staff was amazing. The Inn is one of the only restaurants open in town after 6pm which is great. The food at the restaurant was delicious! We at there for breakfast and dinner and both times it did not disappoint! You are only about 2 minutes from Canada so be sure to bring your Passport and visit the Roosevelt International Park. Seeing the sunrise at the Quoddy Lighthouse is an absolute MUST! The Inn on the Wharf is the perfect location to stay.

The view was marvelous - not breathtaking but really great! The parking was very limited but we were blessed enough to get one in the first row every time. The common deck had an even more spectacular view. The restaurant staff was very cordial and the food was delicious. Cost was commensurate with all other locations.
The first night there, the room next door had a man who talked for hours on the phone and we could here all the conversations. Luckily he was out the next day so there was no more noise. The ice machine in the common area had a difficult time keeping up with our demands.

Our room was quiet, which let us sleep well after a long day of travel. The food in the restaurant was amazing!
Our 1st room hasd a shared balcony outside the window (which had an amazing view). There was a group of adults on the balcony that was out there for hours cursing in every sentence. We went and ate and came back and they were still there. We went for a walk and came back and more had joined them and the cursing was much worse. We asked if there was another room we could move to and they immediately upgraded us to an apartment for no charge that was much nicer. We would go back to this Inn, but we would make sure to book the apartments.

The room and view were lovely.
The noise that echoes throughout the facility due to the only flooring being tile. Even suitcases rolling seem very loud. Also, our room was right next to the on-site restaurant. For 2 hours following closing time… until 10… the mouse from the kitchen was quite a lot too. Also, folks sitting on the outdoor deck could see and hear in our room, as they were less than 3-4 feet from one of our windows, which forced us to pull the shades on our waterfront view.

Great location with a fantastic view from the private balcony of our studio apartment! The restaurant served great food with very quick service. It was a short drive to both Campobello Island (passport needed) and West Quoddy Head Light.
The only con was that the description of our studio apartment made it sound like a washer and dryer was in the apartment. There was a washer and dryer in a separate facility. We were on a 3 week trip, and I had planned to do 2-3 loads of laundry from the comfort of our apartment, instead of having to haul our dirty clothes down the hill.

We stayed in the 2-bedroom apartment and it was spacious and clean with all we needed to stay much longer than we did. The location was close to downtown and right on the water. so beautiful and close to everything the town had to offer. The view was spectacular. The food in the restaurant was amazing and very reasonably priced. We had an amazing seafood captains platter for supper with a great piece of chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert. Breakfast was a lobster omelet, fried potatoes, toast and fruit. Yummy. The wait time was more then some places but well worth it.
It was on a hill, and I have hip issues but so worth it.
