The b&b is located in the best spot of Chiareggio, just outside the village in the middle of a large green field. The house is just very authentic, furnished with taste and, in a word, lovely. Jacopo and Michele are amazing hosts, the real soul of the b&b. The breakfast is perfect. I also loved the fact that common spaces are shared with other guests and hosts, as it should be in a b&b. This creates a very pleasant atmosphere.

This is a beautiful little B&B in the spectacular Chiareggio in Valmalenco. The room was very comfortable, with an amazing view of the Alps, good temperature, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast, and solid wi-fi. There's a free parking area 100m down the road. But the real highlight is the host Jacopo, who was very warm and welcoming. He is an expert mountaineer and rock-climber and had excellent route recommendations, as well as restaurant recommendations (and was happy to call and make the reservation for us). We only visited Chiareggio for one night, but wished we had more time in the valley and in Il Cortese.

The B&B is a hidden gem of Chiareggio village! It is a small B&B run by a lovely friendly couple - Michela and Jacopo. They are the most hospitable hosts and go an extra mile to make your stay relaxed and authentic. Their beautiful house has lots of old historical features, and it is such a pleasure to spend some time by the fireplace in the evening, getting to know others over a glass of wine! Jacopo is a mountain guide and can suggest the best routes and hikes depending on what you have in mind. The room we stayed in was very comfortable with a very big and very comfortable bed, en-suite bathroom with a shower and a beautiful view on the mountains through both windows. In the morning there is sunlight coming through to the room (there are shutters should you wish to have it blacked out) and makes everything look even more magical. It is so relaxing to have such a comfortable stay literally in the middle of the mountains. We cannot wait to stay again with Jacopo and Michela!

I absolutely love Il Cortese and have been twice, once with my wife and once alone. Michela and Jacopo are warm, welcoming hosts. Jacopo is a wealth of information on hikes in the area and he gave my wife and I great guidance on an outstanding hike. He also helped me orient myself to the Mallero river when I returned alone to go trout fishing. Il Cortese is a magical place - and you really feel a part of the stunning natural landscape. The atmosphere is homey and comfortable. The breakfasts are outstanding and filling, complete with locally produced eggs, butter, and yogurt. It is an easy two or three minute walk to Chiareggio's three restaurants.

Outstanding experience all around. Gorgeous location, close to many trails, and our hosts were wonderful people who sincerely cared about the quality of our experience (not to mention the breakfast was plentiful, sustaining, and delicious, complete with local cheeses, butters, and strudel!). We are deeply grateful, too, for the wonderful advice Jacopo gave us on best trails in the area. It really made our experience extra special. I would advise anyone who goes and has a few hours on arrival or before departure to rent an electronic bike and ride up to one of the area's great vistas. Just ask Jacopo, he'll tell you exactly where to go. Also, he's a professional alpine guide, so he knows every trail in the area. We changed our hiking itinerary based on his advice and were incredibly glad we did.

Magnificent location, quiet and easy to reach both the restaurant and all the hikes. Owners are fantastic, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is magnificent.

Our room had a private bathroom, but it was located across the corridor, which was not ideal.

I fell in love with this hotel and will come back! Amazing breakfast, lovely hosts (professional alpinist guide, who told us many stories). Recommend this place!

Everything was authentic in the charming stone house and in total a very special experience. The lovely people there created a great atmosphere and provided superb guidence on how to explore the wonderful aera.
