Came here in march by accident returned again as I found it on booking dot com it was much cheaper through them it’s a fantastic hotel and all the staff are super nice I was still able to communicate with them and were very helpful I will be staying there again next year

Historical building former monastery but inside is very modern and excellent facilities

The location was beautiful and very handy for the ferry in Santander. The room was spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable. It was very quiet. The gardens were lovely. There was a shared kitchen and dining area which was great! Very reasonable room rate. The restoration of the buildings was very good.

I enquired about the cost of a dog but received no reply. I thought it would be around 10-12 euros as a standard charge. After booking and paying for the room we were informed that the charge for a dog was 20 euros. I thought this was very expensive as the room only cost 48 euros.

We found it a little difficult to actually locate the hotel. Had we approached it from the other direction it would have been easier. It was a little difficult to actually find out what we had to do to check in. It was actually in an adjacent property. The evening meal we had was extremely good.

The pictures of the property on the booking.com site was nothing like the room we had. It was not a problem but it may have been a disappointment to some clients.

Fabulous in every respect. Beautiful. Historic with a modern twist. Great rooms and bathroom. Really good restaurant and a great breakfast. I would stay here again and again. Very highly recommended

Everything was perfect

Great staff, an interesting historic build that was tastefully modernised and a spotless functional room.

One minor point, directly above my bed was a sensor perhaps a smoke alarm with 2 flashing amber lights which were so strong that even with my eyes closed they kept me awake.

A beautiful old convent remodelled into an hotel, restaurant and cafe with large gardens set in a quiet village. Plenty of parking and a couple of charge points for EV's. In our case, a large, dog friendly room and access to the well equipped communal kitchen dining room for breakfast. There is a mainline train station opposite. Outstanding value for money.

The restaurant was closed for a private function so we only had a chance to sample the cafe menu which was adequate but not very extensive, for our evening meal.

Super breakfast with fantastic choice..bacon eggs, smoked salmon, cakes cereals including local bread
