Very friendly staff, option for drinks and meals on site (handy on a Monday when very little was open), lots of spaces to enjoy time in when not out (including a pool). Good breakfast included. Bang in the centre of music (band practising for carnival) and drink options. Easy to explore Olinda on foot from here. Room on first floor with its own balcony was quiet and a nice space.

Rooms are a bit dated but this doesn't take anything away from it being a great place for a few days. I switched from the room I booked (lower/ground floor) which was a bit dark for me.

historical hotel that has been renovated beautifully. Great experience. The staff are lovely too. Breakfast good. Location is perfect, in the middle of the historical area and bars and great restaurants. Friday and Saturday nights are very lively! On street parking is ok as long as you get there before 5pm as it gets very busy in the area in the evening. be careful of the guides and the people trying to take your photo for money. Very hard to get and quality!!

The Staff were fantastic and helpful, from all reception to kitchen to the excellent smiling tall Gateman and server ‘Forte’ to Erica on reception. The superb breakfast choice and happy breakfast team were brilliant each morning . The Omelettes they made were delicious ! The swimming pool and characterful/ historic hotel was a great choice , and essential if you are to enjoy the carnival or a peaceful holiday in town , due to it being at the centre of everything ! PS Great ‘Forte’ Caiprinhas too!

The only thing I could think of improving was reducing the gaps in bedroom windows and openings with screens to keep mosquitoes out . Also a wider choice evening meals, although there are some good restaurants nearby,

The house is historical and beautifully decorated, with a lot of artifacts. Nice swimming pool. Amazing breakfast, best we had during our roadtrip.

The guest house is located right in the city centre of Olinda, and when there are activities related to carnival, you can get noise all night until 6 a.m, which has been the case for us. We also asked for a better room as the first offered was on the ground floor next to the reception.

This is a charming and characterful hotel in an old building right in the centre of the old town. The reception staff were particularly helpful in making recommendations of places to eat and arranging transport. The rooms are around the attractive mature garden, mine was small and without a view but I was there at a weekend and appreciated the distance from the street noise outside. A good breakfast is provided overlooking the garden.

My room was overdue for a makeover

Lovely terrace attached to room 115 - highly recommend this room for this reason. Quaintly furnished in keeping with the whole Pousada, which is filled with regional artefacts. Lovely terraces and pool. Lovely, friendly staff.

Whilst the bed was quaint and comfortable, it was quite creaky. There is also a step into the bathroom and the shower is over the bath, so you need to be agile!

My stay at Pousada dos Quatro Cantos in Olinda was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The building itself is beautiful and fits perfectly with the historical charm of Olinda. Breakfast was very good, offering a delicious start to the day. Overall, it's a fantastic place to stay for those looking to experience the unique charm and hospitality of Olinda.

Lovely place in a lovely city. Charming hotel in an old house with a shaded small garden. Located in a quiet street of the old city center, you can walk easily from the hotel to the main historical and cultural spots of Olinda. You just have to go down the street to reach the bus and taxi station to Recife. Very nice staff and helpful . And to be noticed : english spoken.

Lovely, large pousada in about as central location in Olinda as you can ask for. Bars, restaurants and festivities literally on the doorstep. It's an official camarote during carnival so don't expect much peace and quiet then! Vanessa on the front desk couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome right from arrival. Also assisted in organising a reasonable all-day taxi for a daytrip to Porto Galinhas. The food on site was decent, we had both breakfast and dinners there on occasion. Good caipirinhas too. The veranda is a lovely place to take in the evening before heading out.

Night & kitchen staff were a little less helpful and communicative than during the day, no issues however

Staff were amazing. My partner forgot his passport and money in a small bag. We got to the airport and called the hotel and arranged Uber driver to pick it up. The lady at reception wrapped it so nice so it looked like a real parcel and not a single cent was missing. We can’t thank her enough.
