Victor the host is everything you could ever hope to have as far as communication(where to park, where to go for dinner etc), knowledge and passion for the area (including hiking all the mountains), and also just happens to be the most kind person as well. He invited me to dinner on his beautiful terrace with his group of friends - it made my vacation what it was and made me fall in love with sulmona. Loved the studio - I was spending most of my day outside, but it was nice to have the little kitchen to keep wine cold, and have snacks. The room was so lovely and dark in the mornings I was actually able to sleep in past my usual 7am! Dreamy.

We arrived in Sulmona not understanding the street to the property was closed. Not a big problem but made the trip more interesting. Free parking is available about 200 meters away. We arrived at the property and contacted the neighbor, as the owner was out of town, who let us into our room. The room was clean and it’s conveniently located to the center of town. Upon leaving I assumed the Bookings would charge me for the stay but this was not the case. After a few messages, payment was resolved. The owner was very patient, understanding and accommodating.

Legacy is a great place to stay in Sulmona. It’s in a perfect location in the old town with many good restaurants and a wonderful cafe Ovidio at the top of the street. The caretaker, Viktor is very responsive and is always available on WhatsApp. He was easy to reach and was very attentive to our needs. Legacy has 4 apartments and is the perfect place to stay if you have larger group that can stay together, but have your own private apartment. I highly recommend Legacy if you are visiting Sulmona which is an incredible small town untarnished by tourists.

Great location, beautiful terrace. Plenty of space. Host was very gracious and helpful. Clean. Had everything we could have wanted. The views were spectacular and well worth the climb up the stairs.

Stairs inside apartment from first to second floor are a bit difficult to navigate. Bathrooms could use ventilation (no windows or exhaust fans). Unable to drive up to apartment (this has nothing to do with the owner it’s just a fact of the location).

Decor was beautiful, everything else was perfect, Victor was very helpful. We enjoyed morning coffee on the balcony.

Can't think of anything! Parking was some distance away, but was not a problem at all - we enjoyed the walk.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Legacy BnB. It is steps away from downtown Sulmona, and my family of 8 was able to book 3 rooms so we could all stay close together but have our own bedrooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the highlight was the staff. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and to assist us when we needed help. I highly recommend staying at the Legacy!

Beautiful apartment in the historical centre of the town. Excellent location, very well-placed close to bars, shops, restaurants and amenities. We did not receive welcome drinks as other reviewers have mentioned, however Victor was very friendly and accommodating to all our needs and his generous hospitality was second to none. It would have been nice to have breakfast included in the booking, but the apartment is self catering with a very well-equipped modern kitchen. We brought our own herbal teas so can’t comment on the tea/coffee provided. There are a couple of bars nearby which have arguably the best croissants in Italy, where we went for breakfast every morning. Fresh towels and blankets were provided. Ample storage solutions in the bedrooms, ambient lighting, cute decor, candles and Alexa sound system. We enjoyed relaxing evenings on the spacious roof terrace surrounded by incredible panoramic views. By the end of our stay we had fallen in love with Sulmona and the apartment felt like home.

Wonderful two bedroom apartment, furnished and decorated in a way that makes one feel at home. We've traveled in Italy for over five months over the years, and this was the best accommodation we have ever stayed at for the price and location. Well furnished kitchen for preparing small meals and an excellent heating system that kept us comfortable. Perfect location in the beautiful and charming centro storico of Sulmona, and quiet too. The Pellino confetti museum/factory should not be missed. The washing machine was an added bonus after six weeks of traveling. I rarely feel so impressed as to give a 10 rating, but Legacy truly deserves it.

Nothing at all about Legacy. But the City of Sulmona could do better by making its bus schedules and stops easy to access and figure out. It was impossible to figure out times and "fermati" for the buses to/from the train station, which have supposedly been scheduled to coincide with arrivals and departures of Trenitalia trains.. Even then, it is only a 1.2 mile walk, at most 30 minutes, which we did for both arrival and departure.

The location was great, the apartment was fabulous, and Victor the host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The welcome drinks and nibbles on our first night with the other guests was a highlight of our entire Italian getaway. We highly recommend visiting Sulmona and staying here and only wish we had stayed longer.

Very nicely renovated apartment that was very comfortable for our stay in Sulmona. Free parking lot was a bonus with a steep walk uphill to the apartment. Good shower, great living room and kitchen with most things you would need. The washing machine was a bonus and the balcony got enough sun to dry the washing. A really great location right in the old town. Don't miss the Wednesday and Saturday markets for your fresh produce.
