A very competitively priced hotel, just off the old market square. Bedroom (238,) was of a good size, very clean and comfortable with plenty of storage. ALL of the staff were excellent- from the reception to the breakfast room staff. They were helpful and always cheerful and friendly and made us really feel welcome at all times. Check in was really easy - full information about WiFi codes, key code for after hours, etc, was provided without asking. We were not on the side of the hotel by the road so it was quiet. Breakfast was very good and plenty of choice. Offered at a reduced price of €17 Euros from €21, which would've been perhaps too expensive. Would we return?? Definitely!

Not a big issue but the bathroom was small and just a bit "worn." The step up over the side to get into the bath to use the shower was high. Might be difficult for older people. All is needed in our opinion is to take the bath out and have a shower unit only. Perhaps something for the next refurb?

The hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Rooms were a little basic but were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was no iron or kettle in the room but we asked at reception and they provided these. Car parking was reasonable and there were plenty of spaces in the underground car park. The buffet breakfast had a good choice of food,. Even on our second morning when the hotel was very busy the staff did a great job keeping everything replenished. The location is good for visiting the old town or the new town and is only a couple of minutes walk from both. Overall a very enjoyable stay. We stayed as part of a group, it was our second stay and we will definitely book there again for future visits.

A very charming hotel with the best possible location, by the entrance to the old city facing the wine hills. Friendly staff, old school check-in, pleasant atmosphere. Quiet room, comfortable bed, bathroom with tub, clean and easy. Parking under the hotel with an elevator directly to the reception and the different floors made the check-in and -out extremely easy and comfortable. Payment for parking €8 is included in the hotel bill upon request. So convenient. We will return to this hotel in two days, and we'll make time to explore the surroundings a bit more. The old town square is extraordinarily cute with several options for dining, and there is a very high quality chocolate café in the center.

We stay there several times a year when we visit our tenants in the city. The place is very central, 2 min from the marvellous and picturesque market square. With the mobile app, one can get pretty decent specials sometimes for under 70EUR a night which is well worth it. The rooms are very clean, some are, hoewever, a bit older while others seem refurbished and the interior and equipment may vary quite substantially. For instance, in the same category, our companion had a single room with proper shower and coffee amchine inside, while we had a comfort double with the bath tub and the usual, too short, water retainer separator and no coffee machine.

Since Achat replace the previous Michel franchise aas owner, the breakfast prices rose to impertinent levels. Specifically, while it used to be complimentary with some stays or just a 6EUR top up, it is now 18EUR per person (!) when booked in advacne and 21EUR p.p. on site (!!!) which is a no go!!! We regularly skip breakfast therefore.

the location is splendid within the old part of the town close to market square. We stay there several times a year, so it is always a good choice for a weekend stay-over. When we arrived, we were actully given a room that was already occupied (!) so when we came into the room, there were belongings from others. Somehow, the booking was mixed up but we received an upgrade larger room in the end :-)

The rooms facing the outer national road B5 (?) become very noisy from the eraly mornings with windows open as the traffic hits in from the Oldenwald area. It is one of the main regional access roads. Also, since the owners have changed, the breakfast buffet is now a luxury treat with about 20EUR per person, so we usually refrain from having breakfast there...too expensive!

The location is very good! The back door of the hotel is the town of Heppenheim, and there is an underground parking lot for self-driving.

The luxury room was reserved, and I communicated with the hotel in advance to request a bathroom room. The answer was that it would depend on the situation when checking in. When checking in, I asked again if there was a bathtub, and the front desk answered yes. However, when I arrived at the room, it was still a shower, probably mistaking the bathtub for a bathroom. Speechless! The breakfast scene was very chaotic, and even searched several rooms for a long time before reluctantly finding an uncleaned table.

we keep coming back and staying there a few times a year...Heppenheim is like a time capsule plunging into a lovely medieval village around the market square and the Bergstrasse. The Achat Hotel used to be Michels, and management changed a year or so ago. What we really liked is that all the staff seemed to have been rolled over. They are super friendly, the rooms are nice, clean and good quality and the brekfast buffet is always a treat!

There is hardly anything one would not like here, however, it also strongly depends on the rooms you have...the rooms favoring the CITY side are quieter as on the other side runs the B3 major road that wakes up early in the morning for all commuters into the area. Also, some rooms, in particular the second floor, have a bathroom under the roof with inclining ceiling, so in some of them, one cannot stand...also, the bathrooms are not barrier-free at all, one needs to climb into the tubs...a partial renovation would be advised here in due time.

Location is great, nice breakfast and parking garage is self contained.

Dryer wasn’t working and staff did not check up on it to figure out why. Front desk people were not the kindest. Turned off the lights on us in the lobby meeting area where we were chatting with family even though he was just sitting at the desk. Breakfast staff was clearing table before we were even done eating and there was still 45 minutes till breakfast time ended.

Hotel was spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and polite and there was a good variety of food on the breakfast buffet. The location was great, inbetween the old market square and the town centre. It has an underground car park but our minibus was too tall to go down there but there was plenty of on street parking. Overall we were very pleased and look forward to booking there again next time we go to Heppenheim.

Can only say 10 of 10. Really good service, clean hotel room, private garage and a nice atmosphere. I loved the pillows and the bed. Only sad thing is that we didn’t have time to se the town because we were only passing through but the positive thing is that we are coming back someday so we can stay longer and of cause on this hotel again. We loved it.
