Loved location easy walk close to downtown. Felt like a neighborhood, always nice when traveling. Creative mid-century modern touches. Comfortable bed and fair size room. Fun brandy tasting and food truck on site. Unfortunately we arrived too late to enjoy. Awesome lighting fixture in lobby. Appreciated accommodating front desk woman's help with light bulb switch out and filtered water for my metal water bottle. Also local tea and coffee complimentary in lobby.
Sink was too shallow more for looks than function. AC was noisy. On second level access was by stairs only so travel light or ask for main level room. Loved Saffron restaurant, easy walk from The Finch.

I liked the location, close/in downtown and near to where I needed to be. Lots of great food to eat very close to the hotel. I like the style of the place as well, simple and nice design. Also, loved that there was a covered parking garage right below my room. Very convenient. I loved the local tea and hot chocolate in the lobby (also local coffee).
The bed could have been a little comfier but I made it work propping up my knees with a pillow. I wish the sheets were all cotton, because they breathe easier and won't overheat you. I also wish I could have filled up my water bottle in the room but the bathroom sink was shallow so that wasn't possible. However, I was able to fill it up at the sink in the lobby.

Exceeded expectations by far. Ratings based on category of 3 star motel. Rooms were large, beds comfortable, nice shower (some leaking out shower door), bathroom toiletries were very nice smelling and included shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and lotion. Rooms even included bath robes. Lobby had coffee (in morning), hot tea all day and popcorn at night. Facility has corn hole and a fireplace which was fun to play and nice to sit around with a glass of wine. Front desk went above and beyond - got a small cut on hand and they provided an anticeptic wipe, Neosporin and a few bandaids. location was walking distance to everything in downtown Walla Walla. would definitely recommend staying here.
Nothing - everything was great. When we first drove up I was a little concerned as the parking area on the side of the building seemed a little alley like but it ended up being good and there was even some covered parking available. There were no issues and would recommend this property.

The wonderfully attentive staff texted me the morning after I arrived. That was wildly convenient! They brought me the supplies I needed when I texted to request them and they got noisy neighbors to take their conversation inside at 12:30 am. The room was clean, had what I needed, and was close to downtown and my college. I'd come back for my next college reunion.
I happened to hate the smell of their soap and the toilet paper is way too rough for $300 a night. It seemed like the parking lot was full. That wasn't a problem for me but would have been a bummer if I'd had a car. I happen to be in TWO boots for tendon injuries in my ankles. When I arrived, I asked if my ride could get my closer to my room. The receptionist told me he couldn't. Turns out there was a parking lot closer to my room. It would have been nice if she'd given me accurate information but it didn't ruin my stay.

Great staff, went out of their way to give advice on wine tasting rooms and restaurants. Yesenia (hope I spelled right) at the front desk saw us heading out to the deck and came out to make a fire for us, she was wonderful! Proximity to downtown made it easy to park our car and enjoy walking to dining, shopping, and wine tasting. We loved the special evening tasting events in the lobby, a real treat! Lovely coffee and tea bar with nice products, a great start to our mornings.
This comment is no reflection on the staff or the rest of the facility, but I can’t be the only person annoyed by the cable. For the love of god, get cable that allows users to access their streaming services. We came back kind of early one night, after an early start, because wine catches up with you. I couldn’t get a guide for what is on, and the commercials…my sanity! Everything else is great, but it is a little frustrating to be stuck in the 90’s with the TV.

First time at Finch! Love the vibe of the hotel! Very clean, loved the silky bedsheets, the spacious room, AC worked great, staff friendly, appreciated the coffee, popcorn & tasting of wine. Want to come back in cooler weather for use of bikes or rent the E bikes & use the outdoor fireplace. Location great walkable to various areas & places. Heard little noise yet r friends were on the street and unfortunately could hear road noise. Will come back and recommend to others!
All good

Very clean, and the location was excellent. I did not specify in advance that my guest had limited mobility - and a room-swap was offered. My guest was able to handle the inconvenience, so we kept the original suite. I would say our difficulty was at least 1/2 my fault - but I was expecting more.
I had a lady guest that was somewhat limited in her mobility. We had a room on the second floor in the D unit - and there was no elevator. I was under the impression The Finch was 'wheelchair accessible' - which implies an elevator is available. Also, I was not expecting 'minimalism' - I was expecting luxury, considering the cost. I should have done more research - so it was at least 1/2 my fault.

The Finch is fun, friendly, so much better than the large chains. I loved the tea selection in the lobby. We only stayed one night to visit Whitman which is so close to the Finch. We will stay there many more times if my granddaughter selects Whitman and they select her.
Would have liked an hour later checkout but understand that there is time needed for refreshing each room. Also, the staff was very kind to help my sister when she bonked her head on my car (car is ok - her head is a bit dented). I would have liked some light pastries to eat with the wonderful tea - maybe sell a croissant 🥐 or donut 🍩.

The Finch is good value and gets right the things that matter to us: comfortable bed, nice quality linens, a good working shower and excellent AC.
This hotel allows dogs and, as someone who has allergies, I question how the cleaning staff is able to keep the carpet sanitary. It would be helpful for the hotel to ask a follow up question to the person who books whether they are allergic to animals, and assign those a room where animals are not allowed.

Room was clean and spacious. Hotel is in a great location just a block from Walla Walla's main street and its tasting rooms and restaurants. Front desk staff pleasant and efficient.
Despite paying extra for a superior room, the room was dark and unattractive. Aside from a small opaque bath window, the sole window fronted on the ground floor sidewalk so no privacy at all if drapes open, and limited light due to walkway above if open. Superior room had some extra square footage but was less desirable than the standard room on the second floor of a prior visit. Coffee and tea are available in the lobby, but not in the room. A negative to those that prefer their cup of Joe without dressing for a rainy trek to the lobby.
