A very high class establishment, set in a wonderful location, just yards from the River Danube. Had a suite in the old house, which gave us separate bedrooms, each with their own facilities, though the bathroom is shared. Being in an old house, the rooms are large but lacking in modern touches, i.e. aircon. A standalone fan was provided. The hotel restaurant has an outside terrance, which is very nice and very popular, so reserve a table as soon as you arrive. Breakfast is in a new block across the road and was plentiful and of a good quality. There's free parking, though the car park isn't huge.

We received a free upgrade to the Lodge so this review is based on that. The location is excellent, right on the bank of the Danube at the edge of the old town. There is a park nearby and a shopping area within walking distance. The room was big enough for 2 adults and a small dog and very comfortable. The balcony was large however the view was blocked by an old tower. The breakfast was very good with lots of options.

The cherry tomatoes served at the breakfast buffet were unfortunately unwashed. There was no price listed for bringing a dog with us and we found the price requested by the hotel fairly steep compared to say Italy or Germany or Switzerland.

We were upgraded to the nearby Donau Lodge and loved this new property although it was a bit disappointing to miss seeing inside the Babenbergerhof. Great location and short stroll to the Old Town Centre that had many delicious food options. Breakfast at the Donau Lodge was well prepared and tasty with a wide choice available. As a tea drinker I loved the silver tea service.

Nice location, clean rooms, comfortable beds Breakfast was good especailly becuase there was magician show as concidence. Good apartment size with spaceous rooms. Everything was clean

Issue with dinner. Restaurant was not open due to private event. The propsoed alternative restauratnt could not give us a place even it was half empty. So after 8h journey during the day we had to take the car again and drive somewhere else to eat something. The bathroom looked very much uesd. It was clan and everything worked OK but looked old and used.

These sweet folks upgraded us to a beautiful room at the Donau Lodge for free! Our room had a view of the mighty Donau river and of the gorgeous medieval tower just outside. Perfect to sit out on the patio with a glass of wine and listen to the river rushing by. The bed was comfortable, tv big, and the towels soft. Breakfast was enormous and varied. We had a safe garage with electricity to store our bicycles. After we arrived, we did a mini tour around the town with numbered signs describing the history, all within one kilometer of the hotel. After, we stumbled upon a bicycle beer cart right on the water near our hotel, serving Dok‘s beer and offering live music. We sat on the rock wall and enjoying the last vestiges of the summer sun, along with delicious suds and American rock tunes. A delightful stay, say we.

Good location, directly beside Danube, can have a nice walk. Rooms are relatively big. Lovely breakfast.

It was quite hot in the room because there's no air-conditioning. There were some hairs on the floor in the bathroom. The door of the shower cabin couldn't be closed completely. The toilet couldn't flush properly. The restaurant guests under the window chatted loudly until late at night.

The rooms at the Babenberghof weren't recently renovated but everything is clean and well maintained. The room is larger than usual. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast was good and in a nice setting (views or the Donau). We stayed for one night passing through. We enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful hotel just off the Danube trail in a great location. Beautiful room spotlessly clean. A delicious breakfast was served across the road overlooking the Danube ,beautifully appointed and modern. Great selection to suits all tastes. The restaurant served the freshest tastiest food in a lovely outside setting.I would highly recommend

The hotel is located on the very bank of the Danube, not far from the highway - it is a convenient place for transit accommodation. On the way through the town there are also gas stations much cheaper than on the highway. Our suite was very spacious, clean and the beds comfortable - we had a good night's sleep. There is a very good restaurant in the older building, so we had a delicious dinner, and in the morning in the newer building, a very tasty and varied buffet breakfast.

The hotel consists of two buildings - an older one and a newer one. The reception is in the newer one, but the restuarant and our room was in the older one. It was a bit confusing at first because we arrived after dark, we were looking for the reception in the older building and it would have been easier if there was clear information on where to go.

I got upgraded to the hotel across the street. Rooms were very nice, Breakfast was very good. Facilities are new in that part of the establishment. As I was traveling with my bike I was happy there was a save room for the night. All of the staff I interacted with was super friendly and helpful.

The check-in process took some time. I was at the location I booked just to be told that I have to go across the street - there the reception was staffed by one person only who was dealing with new arrivals and the phone.
