Very pleasant large hotel with agreeable rustic decor, located near the railway station yet there was little noise and we enjoyed a quiet night's sleep in a large comfortable and clean room that was well arranged. There is plenty of parking space in front of the hotel and in the back garden. The staff were friendly. Supper was very good and decently priced while the breakfast was excellent (the smoked salmon being an unexpected delight). If one has time, it is worth briefly popping into the picturesque town centre that is a stone's throw away from the Danube. We discovered the small museum dedicated to Oscar Kokoshka who was born in Pochlarn. We would gladly stay in the hotel again while crossing Austria.

It would have been thoughtful to have provided a bottle of water in the room. The orange juice for breakfast was very watery but, that apart, as mentioned, they offered a really terrific spread. These minor points do not detract from the top rating that we feel the hotel deserves.

Although the location is right in front of the station, the trains are not heard at all. For transit it's a fair location. Nearby, a few minutes away, there is a very nice promenade on the Danube bank. Plenty of parking spaces.

Unfortunately, we got a room on the top floor (second floor to be exact). The air was unbreathable (it was a hot day) on that floor (the lower floors were better). In the room smelled like sewage or who knows what, anyway an unpleasant smell. The room is not equipped with air conditioning. Breakfast had many options, but honestly, from my point of view, there was nothing appetizing there. I drank a coffee (at least that much) and a (unappetizing) bagel with butter. I noticed that the men serving breakfast were not so picky, they ate everything there. I would only come back here if it was mandatory!

Easy access from the A1, perfect for an overnight stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The wi-fi service functioned adequately. There is also a lovely open garden, where breakfast can be served during the summertime. The restaurant is also a convenient option for a late dinner (till 10 pm).

A small fridge would have been a significant improvement. Also, there is no air conditioning, which might be an inconvenience during warm summer days.

The room was spotless, with clean bed sheets, and a floor you could lick off, the bathroom had 2 types of ventilation and budget-friendly toiletries. Breakfast was decent, although the orange juice was heavily watered and the strawberries were rotten, but I think it would be too much to expect good strawberries in December, after all, we ate nicely. There was also a huge TV, Overall, it's great and I'll return there next time I need to sleep on my way to Germany.

The only thing I didn't enjoy was that WiFi didn't work due to the snowstorm, which is expected for Germany and Austria as their internet infrastructure isn't great. But again, nothing much to complain about.

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel-Restaurant Moser Pöchlarn. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable, which made for a good night’s rest. Everything was clean and well kept. The breakfast was simple but decent — just what we needed to start the day. The atmosphere is traditional and cozy, and the location is convenient, especially if you’re exploring the Wachau region. Great value for the price!

The property is a traditional Austrian hunting lodge, with clean, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. ALSO the chicken & salad (which sounds simple enough) is outstandingly delicious!! 😋

Nothing, it is great value, great location off of the motorway, tucked behind the railway. Warm welcome. We just want a clean, comfortable bed, hot shower and a good breakfast ✅✅✅. Chicken & salad a real bonus 😁

I've got room with bath, which was perfect after 10 hours driving in a row, furniture is not really "fresh", but it's clean and maintained. Breakfast was really rich, as tenants could choose of wide various of snacks.

Lack of parking place can lead you to park your car on the side street, so pay attention there is a bus stop, which means you must park no closer than 15m to sign.

Booked hotel late as travelling through. There are 2 hotels, one is opposite the train station and is quite lively, the other is a short few minute drive away. Upon arrival was informed I'd be staying at the quieter one, so headed out there. The manager was fantastic and led the way to the hotel which was authentic lovely, it was peaceful, very quiet. The room we had, had good TV, wifi and a balcony with a view over the trees across the road, it was quiet in the night and the morning. We didn't have breakfast as we had to travel early the next morning but I'm sure it would be delicious.

The price was by far the best we found in the Wachau area. Staff only speaks German, but it is generally easy to communicate. The area is definitely not fancy, by the train station, but the rooms are quiet as the face the other way. The restaurant is typical and not particularly cheap, contrary to the rooms, but good.

I know and choose this hotel always on my way through Austria by car because it is a great location, nice breakfast, very comfortable bed and pillow. The service people are always nice and smiling. So, on my road, all i need for good relax and charge myself for a next driving day is there! Thanks, and till next time
