Family bungalow is quite spacious, the 3 double beds were comfortable and can see the stars on a clear night from one of the upstairs bedrooms. Hotel has a dog and a cat so is pet friendly but charge 150baht/night/head. Family run, super friendly and helpful. You can rent kayaks for 100baht/hour. Good choice for breakfast 200baht pp though coffee/tea or juice not both and they do homemade sour dough bread. Evening meal choice: Thai and western even pizza (hotel has a dome oven). Free to use pool table. Separate bar for cider, beer, cocktails, spirits and smoothies often frequented by non-residents. Long, clean beach is a great place for a quiet stroll during the day. Very tranquil.

Expect to pay 350-450baht pp for evening meal plus soft drink though this is in line with many other Khanom restaurants. Electrical problems: slow wifi dropping or not connecting, shower never hot. Sea was very shallow and water murky. No centre of entertainment / waters edge restaurants / fire shows / live music etc. nearby. Need to go into Khanom town for 7-eleven, ATM or massage (although they will come to the room if not raining).

In my opinion it’s a little paradise. The atmosphere is cosy and laid back. If you want some rest e.g. from busy bangkok here is your place. The spacious thai shacks (with everything you need), a cosy and comfy bed and a terrace with a georgious view. Directly at a white sandy beach. It‘s the eastcoast, so if the weather is nice you can enjoy a stunning sunrise. The food is also very aroi mak mak! But not just the cherry on the top are the people there. They are awesome and caring. It’s fun to talk with them. I arrived very early, but the let me stay at the beach and I even got an earlier check in. And they organised a rent motorbike for me. I highly recommend this place. Thank you Ing, Phon and Dan and everyone!

An amazing spot to chill out. I was there for 16 days and felt like I became part of the family. The staff are friendly, fun and happy to assist. The owners are super accommodating and happy to share their knowledge. If you are looking for the perfect chill spot with ZERO ego this is THE spot. Within the 16 days I think I wore my sandals for two days. SUPER chill. There is a nice little local market across the main Street to get toothpaste, snacks and drinks. I would recommend renting a motorbike to bop around. When I left the property I was going to another property in Khanom and the owners dropped me off at the new spot, how Amazing. When you stay there ask for Bwoon tell him that J says “sawadee krap”.

The location was right on the beach and close to cafes and activities nearby. The team, Bam, A, & Fon, are fantastic, so much fun, and spoke good English. George, Ella, Dan, & Nina were great hosts, super helpful and so welcoming and kind. The menu was excellent, and the food was yummy with a good selection as well as specials. The shacks are basic but they have everything you need for a beach holiday and it was very safe and secure.

There wasn't much NOT to like.

Very cosy beach bungalows on a quiet and pretty beach. The staff is super nice and the food and drinks (especially the Margaritas) are amazing. A really special place that we thoroughly enjoyed. We also did a boat tour to the pink dolphins which was special and enjoyed the little Saturday night market around the corner.

The beach bungalows were only cleaned once we asked for it during our 4 night stay. Would have been nice to know that we should actively request cleaning. Also, payment is only cash which we also didn't know in advance, so someone had to drive us to an ATM at short notice. Would also be nice to have some information about activities (like the Pink Dolphin Tour, Night Market etc.) on a board somewhere. But other than that really highly recommended!!

Cozy and very comfortable; clean and well maintained. Friendly dogs around that just adds smile on your face. The owner is very attentive and helpful The staffs were AMAZING - polite, humble and always willing to help you with anything you need. The property is right by the beach and the area is kept clean. The on-site bar is cozy! I'd definitely go back again!

The wifi can get choppy but that's alright. Access to public transport isnt very easy but plenty of bike rental options :)

the place is the best in the area, and well known and popular for the bar and restaurant. Many people go visit it from outside, far more than the guests of the hotel. The cuisine is indeed very good and offers nice variety. We enjoyed the tuna steak for dinner. Breakfast is a la carte, and one can choose from a list. Given the popularity and service level, the meals are not cheap compared to other places. The shacks are just 50m from the sea 20m from the beach, and the in hotel logistics room-beach-restaurant is just few steps distance which is comfortable.

The storm has brought many plastic waste on the beach. That was cleaned later in the hotel premises but still not nice to observe that in the adjacent territories. Not the fault of the hotel but still problem of the location. Be ready to meet some insects in your shack.

This place is pure perfection. I have been travelling in Thailand for 4 weeks and this is by far the most special place I have stayed. This level of hospitality, welcome and attention to detail is very very rare indeed. I can see why Margarita Beach has gotten such an iconic reputation. The beach is lovely and the area is picturesque and peaceful. Much love to Dan , his family and staff for making this place so so special.

This is a beachside property that has a back to nature feel. The rooms open up to a beach path and give the opportunity for early morning beach walks. The restaurant is open plan to the beach and the bar is a centerpiece with a great range of branded spirits and good prices with a happy hour. The sea is warm and relatively shallow so great for swimming.

It was very quiet so the flys were outnumbering the humans which was a pain

First time to Khanom Beach? Get ready to properly relax. You'll have no other choice. We came for 3 nights and wish we had longer. The shacks at Margarita Beach are simple, comfortable, but also air-conned. The food is exceptional! Outside of the Thai food staples, the Pad Krapow Tacos were a fave! The local staff and owners, Dan and Nina, were very friendly and inclusive. Being a small town and not as "touristy" as the islands, you'll feel like part of their community very quickly.

We have no complaints about Margarita Beach. At all. But a gentle warning - Khanom is a small town, and travelers should be aware before visiting that taxis/ tuk tuks aren't easily available, so if you plan to get around Khanom you best be comfortable on a scooter.
