As a frequent flyer to Tawau for work, finding the right hotel to make my trips comfortable and convenient has always been a priority. I’ve stayed at many hotels in the Kubota area, but none compare to Vista Hotel – my go-to choice for an exceptional stay experience. Vista Hotel stands out for many reasons, but above all, it’s the level of cleanliness and attention to detail that keeps me coming back. The rooms, though compact, are always spotless and well-maintained, offering everything a lone traveler or a couple would need. The best rooms to book are those with windows and a balcony—there's nothing like enjoying fresh air and a quiet moment with a view after a long day of work. It adds a much-needed touch of relaxation to an already pleasant stay. Location-wise, you couldn’t ask for more. Kubota is packed with dining options, making it easy to grab a meal or have a leisurely dinner without going far. The convenience of having multiple eateries nearby is invaluable for someone like me, who is often tight on time. Another highlight of Vista Hotel is their staff. Every interaction I’ve had with them has been nothing short of delightful. The team here is always helpful, friendly, and professional, going out of their way to ensure every guest feels welcomed and comfortable. In summary, Vista Hotel is by far the best hotel in Kubota and an absolute gem in Tawau. Whether you're here for work like me or leisure, the hotel guarantees a comfortable, clean, and convenient stay. It’s the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Tawau.

The location is great and located around many restaurants and cafes. The food is not a problem. The room is accessible by a key code which makes the security much more tighter but guest need to remember the combination access numbers. The decoration inside the room is great and modern. The mattress and pillows are great and comfortable.

Each floor they only got one iron. It is the best if they can put one iron in a common area per floor so that everyone in the same floor can use the iron equally. If one guest bring the iron inside his/her room and did not put the iron back in the public space, it will be troublesome for other guests who is need to use the iron. The iron board also not that stable.

Adorable little shop lot hotel in a seemingly growing commercial area. Facilities are limited but relatively clean. Love the Scandinavian glass elevator.

Purposefully booked a room with a balcony for a better view but realized the sliding door lock is broken and held shut only by a wooden stick which is a big problem given the so called balcony is an open space area shared by all tenants with "balcony access". Disappointed there. Envious were we to see the hotel next door with the exact same layout is much better arranged with private balconies with fake grass and outdoor chairs. Here on business, so...

beautiful interior deco with red brick walls. i love the tatami king bed, it is something different - the bed and pillows are very comfy too! and yes, the much spoken unique elevator - it makes the stay memorable! 😊. quite a few channels ( including Bernama & RTM Sports) with excellent reception. excellent aircon, good wifi and good water pressure in the rain shower. no-fuss check in and check out. the staff are really friendly and very helpful - thank you so much for making me feel very welcome! this boutique hotel is definitely recommended.

a minor "complaint" - name of the hotel is not immediately visible when you pass by - need to look closer to spot the name by the door handle and on a small signage on the wall next to the entrance.

Location, staff, cleanliness, and safety of this hotel. The hotel is modern and looks really new. The staff are very friendly, especially Mr Fiqhri who set up a surprise gift for my boyfriend per request. Mr Fiqhri was awesome!!!

Wifi could be stronger Connection was weak Other than that, everything was almost perfect.

Great location within a mall complex with tons of food options. Comfortable rooms with all of the amenities you would expect. Solid choice if you are visiting Tawau or stopping over on your way to Semporna or a rainforest excursion.

Clean, tidy, comfortable & the staff so friendly. No worries to bring family of 5 because you actually can arrange and move the bed to make it fit with 5 pax..such 2 adult, 2 kids & 1 infant..Overall will book again for the next trip

Perfect location, step out from the hotel, you can easily find cafe, restaurant, Watson, Guardian, banks etc. Room is very clean and comfy.
