Checking in feels less like you're a guest at a hotel and more like you're visiting your favorite grandpa—except this grandpa happens to have a beautifully renovated 300-year-old house with modern amenities! We were greeted by the most charming elderly man, who radiated all the cozy, welcoming vibes you can imagine. He immediately made us feel like we were part of the family, giving us tips on where to find the best local restaurants and then personally escorting us to our room to make sure we knew every detail. The hospitality here is next level. The room itself? Cozy, spotless, and just the right balance of old-world charm with modern comforts. You get all the character of a centuries-old building, but none of the “I’m afraid to touch this antique dresser” anxiety. Plus, it smells great, which is always a win. And the breakfast? Oh, the breakfast! It was like waking up to a gourmet feast—amazing coffee, delicious food, and that same homey feeling you get throughout your entire stay. We didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend if you're looking for a stay that's full of heart, character, and the kind of hospitality you thought only existed in movies. Just make sure you save room for breakfast—you won’t want to miss it!

Top location and lovely rooms. The house is old, but everything inside is renovated and modern. Bathrooms are the best.

The stairs are narrow and steep, so if you have big luggages with you is a problem. The rooms are not soundproof and you can hear every word and every step from everyone. I had very noisy upstairs neighbors.

From booking check out this was an exceptional experience. The included breakfast was ample and delicious, the room was fantastic and the hosts were beyond friendly and helpful! Can’t wait come back again!

We didn't meet Barbara but enjoyed chatting to members of her family, who were very helpful and friendly. The room was bright and cheerful and an excellent breakfast downstairs.

Nothing really. Once we had sorted out the parking situation, it was easy to find our way around the town.

We loved everything about Barbara's Rooms! The decor is beautiful, so tastefully done. Best shower ever! Breakfast was so good in the gorgeous little kitchen dining area. Highly recommended this accommodation.

The town was not as nice as we expected, but that has nothing to do with Barbara's room, just with our expectations coming from Venice.
