I loved the fact that this establishment is part of a local project of training young people with disability. They also have a restaurant at the end of the street. I wish there were projects like this in every town. The location is great, and it has a family atmosphere. The real surprise is breakfast with a wide variety of savory and sweet choices. There is a modern elevator and although the single room is on the small side, the bathroom is a good size, with a good shower.

I understand it is a municipality building, but the room's walls are not isolated and when someone was in the next room I could hear it.

We had absolutely great time only thanks to Signora Sandra at the reception. She is the "soul of the residence", she is kind, smiling, helpful, open-minded person, who responds every question and do all possible for guests to feel well. Why i am writing this is the reason, we had completely different feelings talking to the manager/owner, who surprised us very negative way (after viewing reviews on the internet) Also the staff at the breakfast was bit strange, no smile, no interest. As i saw/hear complaints of other guest at the reception, i think it's a pitty for this place with sooooooo great potential. Anyway the location of this place is strategic and we enjoyed atmosphere of the town. Rooms were simply but well furnished. The beds were comfy. Room service was above average. Breakfast first day was really limited compare to next day when we finally could enjoy also continental breakfast and wide variety of seasonal homemade cakes. Off-season parking was also possible in the yard by agreement, otherwise it is necessary to use the paid parking lot approx. 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. It's not our first stay in Chioggia, so hope to return soon and I am opened to give the second chance to Residence Domus Clugiae.

Staff were wonderful and so helpful. Breakfast was nice and plenty of it ....very relaxing and could have sat there for hours having a chat. Location super, and a nice walk to Sottomarina where there was a fabulous beach. Bedroom was nice and comfy....make up excellently each day by a great staff.

We wish we could have stayed longer as we moved on to Venice city and our experience was far from wonderful from our hotel so it was nice to have a nice experience first!!

The hotel is located in the center of Chioggia in a great location to explore this charming town as well as the nearby Sottomarina, a tourist resort known for its long sandy beaches, all either on foot or by bike.

Everything found fine as describe on Booking.com ....only short advice for the visitors who will arrive with car ,as the hotel is located in the city center and is limited to parking spaces it should be mandatory to note that to the hotel so a free parking space can be provided in the hotel circle.

Our stay at the hotel was more than enjoyable. The venue was quirky and laid back, as were the lovely people working there and the whole of Chioggia itself. Everyone was helpful and friendly. It is an excellent choice for families on a budget or groups of young people who want a nice, clean and amicable place to stay in the picturesque old city rather than the characterless beach hotels in Sottomarina. Parking behind the hotel is a great addition. Breakfast was very good with loads of choices. We were travelling with a 6 months old baby and this place was an excellent choice for us. We would like to come back and would definitely recommend it

Good location in an interesting little town. Cozy interiors (and good books in the lobby). Nice staff (cooperation with the disability integration center is excellent). Quite a good breakfast.

It would be great if the room was equipped with an electric kettle and a small refrigerator.

Very good value for money. Staff very nice and accommodating (I got hot water when I asked for it, also was allowed to work at a table for few hours after checking out). Decent selection for breakfast.

Thin walls - I was on the phone with my parents (speaking normally, no loud speaker) and after 10pm I got a knock to my door asking to keep quiet... Afterwards I could her that person's phone pinging and her coughing like if she was standing outside my door - so no privacy. Walls in the room could do with some paint.

Superb locally - a few meters from the canal. Clean bathroom with good linen and servised every day. Friendly and efficient breakfast staff. Good breakfast with wide choices. Secure parking on the premises a real bonus.

Noise in middle of the night of staff cleaning and moving of dustbins. NOT problem of hotel.

Excellent location and plenty of choice on breakfast buffet. Great value for what we paid. We were picking up a cruise so would recommend it for a pre cruise stop. Chioggia is a beautiful little town easily accessible from Venice by bus in 1hr 20 mins.

Room was quite small but clean. Would have liked access to tea and coffee to be included. Would be prepared to pay a little more for this.

Very friendly welcome from staff and a really comfortable stay. Located right in the middle of town with lots of food and drink options nearby.

Not a dislike... but cyclists should come prepared to lock up your bike in the back car park and not necessarily expect anything to lock the bike onto. I packed my bike into a bike bag and kept it in my room which also worked for me.
