Queen Manor is my regular sleepover haven en route to Mosselbay. As always, they never disappoint. I had a long delay on the N1 and only arrived in Graaff Reinet at 20h30. My hosts were wonderful: I phoned in advance and was welcomed with open arms, although I arrived late on a Sunday evening. The room was clean and well appointed, with safe parking for my vehicle. Breakfast, as usual, was the highlight of the stay. Freshly prepared, with healthy choices of fruit and yogurt. I can recommend this facility as the best guest house in Graaff Reinet.

Breakfast was one of the best I have had! Something for everyone, and as a vegan I greatly appreciated their vegan options. My family loved their options too. Really great! Hosts are amazing! Friendly, helpful, just really nice people! Room waws awesome, nice spacious bathroom WITH BATH, lovely fan and air conditioning, no co,mplaints at all. Fine for a family for 4.

Nothing I didn't like...maybe one small thing would be to have some basic cutlery and crockery, but to be honest, our stay was so great that this was really not a biggie.

My son & I booked at short notice while travelling to George via Graaff-Reinet. Our host responded promptly. They were friendly & most helpful on our arrival by telling us briefly about the town, interesting places to visit, to eat & about the journey ahead. We shared a room that more than met our expectations & the buffet breakfast was on time & superb. Off street parking was safe, easy to access & close to our room. They had upgraded us to a room with two double beds at no extra cost where we had expected twins.

Nothing. All was more than adequate for a transit stop or more.

Stayed for 2 days over New Years. There are 3 floors of accomodation. We stayed on the ground floor next to the pool area. We braaied at the braai area and Nettie the host provided us with what we needed to enjoy our braai. Breakfast was good and the accomodation was full in the two days we stayed there. They have approx 15 rooms. We ate at Coldstream restaurant the one evening in 30 plus degrees in a beautiful garden setting.

There was a huge dead spider and dog poo left in the indoor braai area on the floor which we discarded. Otherwise it was perfect 2 days

High end finishings throughout. Nice pool. Fantastic breakfast with lots of choice. The fresh fruit was delicious, as was the full "English" breakfast. Our hosts Nettie and Arthur went out of their way to help us - even with hitching and unhitching our trailer tent. Its a great property on the edge of town with a lovely view of the mountain. Everything was spic and span and the staff made our stay even more enjoyable.

Nothing i can think of.

The general look of the place was truly aesthetically pleasing, perfect view of the mountain during our swim and beautiful sunset. The beds gave us the most comfortable night of rest after our long drive, and the air conditioning helped with the heat of the karoo. Our stay ended with a lovely breakfast in the morning, and it was delicious 😋 😀

Friendly owner and staff, nice interior, spacious room, nice bathroom. Nice and diverse breakfast buffet - and you even get to choose from a list of additional freshly prepared breakfast meals! Parking on site. Supermarket and historic town center within walking distance.

They have a generator to bridge load shedding periods which was pretty close to our window (and therefore pretty noisy) and on the second day it was running all day long (I think there was some bigger problem with the power grid that day). They'll turn it off at 21:00 the latest so if you're out and about it won't really affect you. Wifi quite slow and overloaded.

Our car broke down and we were towed to Queens Guest house, Hosts Nettie and Arthur were absolutely amazing with assisting us with our trailer and extra luggage out of the Tow vehicle and into the rooms. They were so welcoming and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The breakfast was a real treat the following morning.

The facilities are excellent, with great airconditioned rooms, spacious showers and Dstv. Lovely couple that run the facility to ensure all needs are met. Breakfast was amazing.

The only minor issue was that is was a double bed and not a queen size bed in the room I stayed at, but the other rooms have larger beds

Nettie and Arthur are truly wonderful and gracious hosts. The Queen Manor sits higher up Queen street, overlooking the town. Large, well appointed and comfortable rooms. Very large bathrooms. Lovely air-conditioned bedrooms. Beautiful pool, and a grape vine covered patio. Secure parking. Those with a keen eye, will spot original newspaper articles from 1950 onwards - on the walls of the breakfast area and in the bedrooms. There is more to Queen Manor than just a name - with some wonderful history about the town of Graaff-Reinet and how the Queen Manor name came to be! Take some time to have a cup of coffee or tea with Nettie and have a chat. What a lovely lady. Arthur is the historian. This is a beautiful guesthouse.
