The staff and facilities were amazing! The pool looked relaxing and welcoming as well! The rooms were simply amazing and comfortable. The balcony though facing half beach half city was still a beautiful sight even as the sun came up.

Beach access for night shell hunters/crab catchers users were unavailable. Luckily there was a gate left unlocked which gave us access, but it felt like we were doing something wrong doing so. The prices of the snacks after hours. Ten dollars for a wrap? It was thirteen for two chips and two drinks. The buffet breakfast was high as well for fifteen per adult. We went and paid half that per person at a nice diner in town.

Great location to the beach. Very reasonably priced buffet breakfast. Room was spacious and clean. Nice pool area. Friendly staff.

I booked an ocean view, but it ended up being partial view; for the same price as full view. The Checkin and parking is a little awkward, with the underground garage. Other than that, it was lovely.

What's not to love? This hotel was fabulous. The cleanliness of the front lobby, the breakfast area (and wow, what a view with the giant picture windows), the pool, bar, hot tub, parking garage, ramp to the beach area, and especially the rooms were immaculate and very well cared for. The set up of the hotel was fantastic,. The location was fantastic and I could go on and on about the staff. It is obvious that they work together so well and they are so friendly and helpful. Kara, Michael, Robin, Angel, Jasmine, and Tai are just a few that we actually talked to and dealt with. They are all TOP NOTCH! You can really tell they enjoy what they do and are truly there to help you have the best stay possible. Thank you all so much!! We will be back!

Not one single thing.

Personal is very well educated. Attention is amazing. Excellent beach access. Even though you have to pay separately for everything. The beach umbrella and chair services, the parking, and the breakfast were excellent. Bartenders and drinks were excellent as well. The room, balcony, and bathroom were clean. Toiletries were good quality.

Even though the service and drinks in the bar were excellent, the area is not nice. It is not inviting and it is not fresh for the summer weather. The pool area is very small, so it is crowded. And it is not relaxing. The pool doesn't look clean. Maybe it is, but it doesn't look.

Chef Thomas went the extra mile and made us feel special. He made the best omelette and personally delivered to our table. The Manager was very helpful and engaging making sure all our needs are met. Kara was a sweetie pie sharing about the hotel. The Jamaican front desk representative was very attentive to my needs by making sure my arrival was an effortless experience. She gave me a peace of mind. Sidney was a pro on her 1st day of work. The entire Best Western Tides staff is the BEST. I rate this hotel 10 stars, exceptional staff service, FOOD, cleanliness, toiletries, bedding, and hotel location.

Our first trip to Gulf Shores. Hotel is directly on the beach. Balcony room had great view, we stayed on upper level. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very polite and accommodating to needs and questions. Does not include Breakfast but reasonable price and delicious with ocean views. Parking garage located under hotel making it convenient access and covered when raining. Enjoyed our time and Would book again.

We had a great experience. Parking fees were extra but no complaints.

The hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff is wonderful and the location is unbeatable. The pool and hot tub were really great to have when the beach was too hot and for stargazing at night. Our room had a view of the beach and of the town which was really cool, and was very quiet even though we were directly next to a construction site (we didn't hear it at all!). The view from the breakfast area is magical and the coffee bar in the morning was a lifesaver, and the prices were very reasonable.

The only thing I can think of that was kind of annoying was the bar closing very early and also having to make sure the towels were back by 10:00 p.m. so that you didn't get charged. We were in the pool and/or hot tub later than that every night and it would have been nice to keep the towel, but that is such a little thing that it didn't bother us that much. And maybe the shower could have a little more pressure, but that's it!

I loved walking out and seeing a bar, pool and hot tub and then the walkway to the beach! The staff was amazing! The place was so clean and the breakfast and coffee were amazing! I will stay there again for sure!! Thank you for a great experience! I only needed one night and y’all allowed that and it was really appreciated! The fact that yall allowed us to do a late check out at 12;00 was a reason that I will totally stay again and tell all my friends!

I wish check ins were a little earlier but I understand things need to be cleaned to get ready for new guest.

Room was exceptionally clean, quiet, and spacious. Decor was modern and appealing. Hotel was directly on the beach with easy access. Chairs and umbrellas were available to rent (we brought our own). The hotel had laundry facilities.

Several issues were not disclosed at time of booking, including a major construction project immediately outside our window which made the balcony unusable as well as a daily parking fee. Laundry machines took coins only and the front desk ran out of quarters (bartender had them). The TV only had cable stations so a laptop is needed to watch Netflix, etc. There is only one road in/out of Orange Beach which is extremely hard to navigate at peak hours due to traffic.

Location is great and the hotel has the right size, breakfast is really good with a beautiful view. The staff is very friendly and nice, they really want you to have a good time. They answer promptly and help you with everything you need.

They could put the towels by the pool area and have food options directly at the bar, so you don’t have to go to the lobby.
