This hotel is simply superb! It is big and spacious. Located in the middle of nowhere, that is in the Akan-Mashu National Park on the shore of the Kussharo Lake, it includes plenty of attractions for guests to stay on its premises. A game arcade, karaoke rooms, a convenience store, wooden chairs in the backyard... It is an easy ride to local lakes and hiking trails. The room was big, modern, well equipped, clean. The majority of staff spoke English, everyone was super kind and helpful. Dinner and breakfast buffets, although pricey, were amaizng, versatile, delicious. We had an amazing stay there.

The food at Kussharo Prince hotel was superb. Much of it prepared on the spot! The quantity and quality of food was excellent and the coffee was top notch. On a side note, the staff, especially Ms. Migura Morita were super helpful. I asked about train travel and bus service to travel to Chitose Airport. She provided me with a precise stop by stop schedule with train names/numbers that took me to my destination on time as planned.

My only gripe about this hotel was the wifi was fine in the room and front sitting area, but when you went into the dining room it did not function. That is a good option when you are with family or a group, but when traveling alone having wifi while you eat your meals can be nice.

I like the onsen. The hotel also had a lot of facilities like laundry, shop, arcade, table tennis and karaoke rooms (I only used the shop and laundry machines). The room had a fantastic view of the lake too. It was also possible to head down to the lake in the backyard of the hotel.

Decoration seemed a bit outdated.

The room was a good size with a lovely view over Lake Kussharo. The set dinner menu provided delicious options.

Although our room was clean and comfortable, the carpet was stained and worn in quite a few places. The outdoor onsen looked out onto a mostly bare uninteresting courtyard.

The location was stunning. it is located in the most beautiful spot in the area. The breakfast was very good and worthy of price. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and were able to communicate in English. It has a convenient store in the basement. In total, we loved it.

the beds and pillows were not as comfortable as expected for this hotel and could be improved. The convenient store did not have all the necessary items. The variety of foods at dinners was not good for us especially with this high price.

Great location right by the lake, spacious room and very spacious bathroom and shower. The hotel had everything we needed, laundry, huge game room. 20 min drive from Teshikaga with restaurants and konbini.

Beautiful grounds, dinner buffet was varied and pretty good, good room sizes.

Not the best value but not many other options in the area.

Grand dining room, older but big spa, typical smaller rooms and very helpful staff.

Oldie but goodie. No doubt for the cleanliness. Japanese standard. Huge room, wonderful view. Parking lot also large but when it’s full and you feel tired. It’s a bit walking distance. Very recommended.

Came around 20:05 after driving 300ish km. Apparently there’s no room service from the restaurant and it’s closed at 8 pm. I need to drive 20 km one way to get the closest kombini(convenience store-seikomart). 40 km return. Pls buy food if you happen to check in a bit late.
