Great location, view from windows- was in old wing unfortunately; stag is very nice and trying their best. They helped us buy 2 tickets Kamuy Lumina. Gave us 2 bread gift on check out. Privatized yukatas and towels generously. Large fridge. No meal included in the stay but lots around. Lake boat just I front of the hotel. Good onsen facilities. Would stay again

Quite dated facility but clean; the room bath was bad and with very inefficient set up for Japanese standards. Little to no English but manage communicate. A bit on the expensive side with no meals included in the price. No much in the onsen as other places

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were very informative about local activities, available buses and their timetable and recommended restaurants too! They even gave us some souvenirs when we checked out and drove us to the bus center. The rooms were pretty big and a classic Japanese interior feel to it which we liked! We actually got rooms with a view of Lake Akan, but because it's winter the window was frozen so we couldn't see anything. The souvenir shop in the lobby also had a variety of goods at a good price. We had a very good time and we're really thankful to the staff for everything they did!

Front staff were grumpy because we got there before checkin, we only wanted to drop off our bags, then his attitude changed Smell of sewage in the shower/toilet Would of been good to have the option of breakfast for the amount that we paid Expensive, but all hotels in the area are the same price..

First of all, I must mention the excellent service. When we just arrived someone came out running to help us find the right parking space. And when we left we got a bun to take for the way. The room was Japanese style with futon beds. Very specious and clean. Our window was facing the lake Akan and the view was amazing. I must say that at the beginning we hesitated if to take a room in a traditional Japanese hotel but eventually we are glad we did choose this one .

Staff were really friendly. I had to leave early in the morning to do a hike, before breakfast started, and they made me a sandwich to take! Room was large (actually split into 2 separate rooms plus bathroom). The location was great, you walk out onto the lake

Room was fine apart from lots of bird poo on the windows. There are signs explaining this and not entirely sure how they could stop it from happening but it's not the nicest thing to look at

View from window. It was clean. Great service! Thank You for helping with taxi and keeping my luggage all day. Nice natural! Onsen. Rooms are up to date.

It is a little bit outdated(stairs are awful!). Onsen seen better days(but this is part of the charm) On plus side they really try to make it look good.

The hotel was very well apportioned, with tasteful decorations and artwork. The lobby is very pleasing and welcoming. The room was very large and with a lovely view of the lake. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel had a good range of facilities for guests.

I accepted the price for the room which did not include breakfast. However, I found out from my friend who paid the same price that her breakfast was included. Since I was just there for 1 night I did not dispute this but I thought it rather strange.

Location on the edge of Lake Alan. The onsen. The kind staff at reception. Recommendation and reduced ticket prices for Kamuy Lumina light and sound show nearby. Free parking. Close to gift shops and convenience stores. Pleasant lakeside resort town.

We were not directed to the correct restaurant for breakfast on first morning. We are in a basic refractory style room with big tables and no waiters. Found next day we should have been in the nice lakeside restaurant.

Great location, great view of the lake, lovely onsen (which dry sauna and open air bath) good value for accommodation in this area. Can walk everywhere in Akan from here.

Walls a little thin, I could hear neighbors talking in the morning , but that is to be expected.

Breakfast was a bit limited but adequate . Difficult to find a restaurant open in the town for dinner - lots of closed establishments - maybe just the time of year. Cigarette smell in bathroom although a non- smoking room.
