The rooms are located around a series of tranquil courtyards providing ample shade and seating - a very pleasant way to enjoy the evening with a tea set out by the hotel. The entrance is reached through a pedestrian-only alley, giving a much appreciated buffer from the very hectic commercial areas outside. The bazaar is a few blocks away with other tourist sites a walkable distance. Breakfast consisted of a good selection of hot dishes, grilled vegetables, breads, and cheeses. No reason to leave hungry. The room itself was clean and comfortable with lots of character in its woodwork. The host, Baris, was gracious and welcoming.

Everything was fine

The location was excellent, everything you need to see in the city is all within walking distance. Parking was provided if required. The room was comfortable, all toiletries and amenities provided. We stayed there for two nights and towels were changed on each night. Barış was very attentive and paid attention to all detail. From pre arrival communication, during our stay and even when have checked out and left. Excellent service and communication. Breakfast was very good with a good selection; they also accommodated request. We enjoyed our stay here very much and would highly recommend it if you are visiting Şanlıurfa.

The curtains did not shut fully or properly, so sunlight will enter the room early in the morning. This is nitpicking, I would stay here again.

We had a truly wonderful experience at Kaliruha Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth and hospitality. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The rooms were beautiful, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, blending traditional charm with modern comfort. The breakfast was excellent, offering a generous variety of fresh and local options. The hotel's location also makes it easy to explore the rich history and culture of Şanlıurfa. Overall, Kaliruha Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, and we look forward to staying here again.

We have received all the important information and recommendations via Whatsapp weeks prior to our arrival to this lovely hotel. On the day of our arrival to the city we have been picked up by the driver that was arranged by the help of the owner, Barış. We had then been dropped off down the road to the hotel and had a lovely few steps walk to our venue. Very pretty narrow streets with gorgeous stone buildings. We have greeted by Barış in a very cool and inviting courtyard of the hotel. Whilst we started our check in process our bags been taken to our room by very smiley and friendly staff. Whilst checking in Barış gave us a very detailed map with all the lovely places not to miss. Having only a day we had a very limited time however with his recommendations we managed to see many of these. Later on in the day we also used the same recommended driver to arrange a return trip to the Göbeklitepe. After a long day of travels it was lovely to have a room with air conditioning and a shower room with hammam setting. Our room also had an access to a terrace with a table and chair. Mini fridge in the room was great to have to keep our drinks cool and also enjoyed making a cup of coffee with the kettle provided. We had a lovely night sleep as it was a very quiet room. Next morning we have left the hotel very early for another stroll around the city to complete visiting places and hotels location was perfect fit for it. We then walked back to our hotel and was reminded that we still had time to eat breakfast which was very lovely and kind of Barış to ask as we thought we missed it. Checking out was easy and we look forward to coming back again and spending longer in Kaliruha hotel and enjoying the city of Şanliurfa more. Very highly recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone who is planning to visit the city.

I usually don’t leave reviews for places I stay when I travel. but this one is an exception in many regards. First and foremost the staff is just amazing. Too nice and caring. We even’ve become friends with Baaz a guy at the front desk. while I was waiting on a taxi to Gobekli Tepe he just didn’t hesitate to show me around historical center of the city with some cool stories and stuff. just wow… The hotel itself is in ancient building back from medieval times and you can tell there’s History present. Good filling breakfast, all amenities intact, overall it was just simply pleasurable stay. Would recommend it 100%.

The location is a bit off the center in the old town and if you travel by car it might have some issues with it. but hey I don’t really know, maybe they have their own parking.

This is a very beautiful hotel right in the heart of the historic old town. It oozes charm with pretty courtyards and comfortable rooms. It is within easy walking distance of Abraham's cave, Abraham's fishpond, the castle and the excellent museum. The WiFi was good, and the hotel was quiet, being away from the noisy main streets. The staff are very kind. They don't speak much English, but communicated very effectively via Google Translate. It was a bit cold during our visit - our fault as we visited in February!. Our room was lovely and warm with excellent heating. We asked the hotel to arrange an airport transfer which was good value and very easy. Our driver, Hassan, also took us to visit Gobekli Tepe a few miles outside Sanliurfa and this was a real highlight of our trip. For £20 round trip he took us to the site and was waiting for us when we finished. Golbekli Tepe is a must for anyone visiting the area. We were advised to visit Sanliurfa museum first as this covers the history and excavation of the area, and this was very good advice

Beautiful little gem of a hotel tucked away in the winding streets of Urfa. Baaz, the hotel manager, was an amazing help in coordinating airport pickup and drop-off for me and arranging a car to Gobekli Tepe. Baaz went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and showed tremendous care and hospitality. Thank you, Baaz!

My only complaint is that the water temperature for showers was not very hot, but otherwise the room was perfect!

The property is recently renovated so everything is really nice and new. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of the old town of Şanliurfa and only a couple of minutes on foot to the bustling streets of the bazaars. It’s a 10 minute walk from the fish lake and other historical places of interest including the museums which is a must see. Everything can be reached on foot. The location of the hotel is fantastic as is the breakfast which is traditional Turkish breakfast from the area. The hotel manager Bariş is lovely and very helpful, he knows people in the area including a fantastic and very helpful English speaking local called Cebrail (Gabriel) who knows the area very well and knows all of the important historical sites to visit in the region. Ali Murat makes sure that every morning you are happy and makes sure your rooms are clean and is very attentive. The Taxi Driver Hassan was also superb. One thing you can count on is a very warm welcoming experience where the hotel and the staff care about your welfare and if you come back really late they pop you a WhatsApp message to make sure you are ok! Some of the rooms have huge terraces and the rooms are spacious with everything you need including air conditioning. 10/10 hotel and I highly recommend for anyone wanting to be in a traditional high standard hotel in the heart of the old town but who also want a bit a quiet in the evenings. After spending more than 100 nights away from home I visited many places. The best in any hotel, beyond the facilities, which in Kaliruha are perfect...is the staff. They were so kind, polite and making my stay easy. I was going in a culture trip, and they arranged all I needed. Currency, indications and a driver, who was a professional both for going and comeing from airport and for visiting all the interesting places. Even far at an fair price and indiciations. Highly recommendable if you want to visit Urfa and Göbeckli Tepe. Relaxing, calm and beautiful. Nice wifi, tasty breakfast, confortable room...

The staff was very friendly. Baaz helped me searching for a place for dinner and also organized my trip to Göbekli Tepe. The communication was very fast. I also really liked the breakfast. The hotel itself is beautiful.

The shower didn't have warm water and since it was December and pretty cold outside, that was a bit annoying.
