this is a nice hotel but you need to watch out that they don't overprice. I am a big vd valk fan and 90% of my stays are at a vd valk. Only the last year they have been going a bit crazy with their prices... sometimes over 150 euro per night!! i have a a strict budget that i will not exceed 150 euro per night and this needs to include breakfast, room, parking and WIFI.

need to watch for their pricing! vd valk is starting to overcharge for their rooms. I have been forced to move my overnights to holiday inns or other brands to stay below my 150 euro per night budget.

Everything about the hotel reflected "Quality". from stepping inside as i arrived, until checking out on the last morning, i could not fault anything. The cleanliness was superb, and the attention to detail in every area of the hotel was clear to be seen. Also, the food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was really good - even to the point i had the same meal for dinner two nights in a row because it was so good.

Restaurant was lovely, we ate dinner there twice and both times the food was fantastic. The breakfast was also great - good choice of food The bar was a lovely area, the terrace off the bar overlooked the river Bed was comfortable, shower was good. Bath was big.

No towels available in the swim area

The breakfast was nice the room was big we received our baby bed in the room with an iron and board our bed was made every day with a quick clean the location was great not far by car to the centre. This hotel branch is always our to go to wherever it is located wish you had more hotels in Europe or UK.

spacious rooms/ breakfast good value for money

no bathrobes/slippers in hotel rooms and no towels in pool/wellness area. I had to rent the bathrobes ( 7,50 per person plus a deposit), which is very strange if you claim to be a wellness hotel and taking into account that I booked a deluxe room. Also no drinkwater facilities in wellness area or gym. cleanliness could be a bit better as we had a stack of glasses in front of our door upon check in, and little things like the telephone covered in dust. also wellness area not properly cleaned as wet towels were still lying around next day. wellness area could do with some more loungers, particularly because the ones which are there are strangely shaped leaving a wet puddle in the seating area, so not comfortable to use.

The beds were comfortable. There were adequate available towels. It wasn't loud even being on the first floor. The pool area was relaxing and clean.

The breakfast was quite expensive.

Everything went well concerning room, breakfast & dinner, check-in and check-out. Good service from the staff.

Wellness was poor. Some services at additional cost and subject to availability in your room (bathrobes for the wellness and minibar). Breakfast was not included in the room price (additional €18.5 per person).

We had a great stay. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean and it was a great size.

Someone had been smoking on the ground floor and the hallway smelled of smoke. The bathroom smelled a bit on the second day.

Gorgeous room with a riverside view and private jacuzzi. Lovely employees offering quick and seamless service, free parking and a delicious breakfast spread. I commend the interior design of the hotel!

No extra towels in the wellness area

Great facilities. Lovely hotel. Rooms were spacious. Initially, I was given a room towards the front of the hotel, which disrupted my sleep due to noise of the delivery vans and traffic. Was given an alternative, which was perfect. Restaurant food and service were excellent.

Towels weren't always clean. Could provide slippers and bathrobe.
