The location was outstanding and the overall hotel amenities and customer service were outstanding.

I paid for an upgrade to a room that was listed as city view. However, the view of the city was minimal at best. Most of the view was still the courtyard and a building under construction covered in white plastic with a large construction crane that came very close to the hotel while rotating. The room was too small for the hefty price, and the bathroom was far too small with narrow double doors that did not cover the entire doorway. Navigating into the bathroom was difficult with the narrow doorway, the narrow entry hallway, and the double doors that opened outward, blocking the hallway and closet door. It's not a good setup. The room was not worth the hefty price.

Iconic hotel in a superb location. Super friendly staff who are always happy to help. We had the amazing 6 course tasting menu in the restaurant overlooking the broadwalk with stunning views. A very grande hotel oozing opulence but not stuffy at all.

I never complain but did here as first room was so disappointing in size and location with dirty windows. New room had dirty coffee cup/clump of hair in the shower/missing robes/no view (except construction) - not what I would expect from a £450+ room in a 5-star hotel……just unlucky as friends had no issues. However it was very comfortable and we were out most of the time.

It has been a dream of mine to stay at the CF since I was a little girl. Unfortunately, my mother was put in hospice just prior to the trip. Instead, my husband and son went to Quebec City first. When my mother passed away, and my family needed to cut short their trip, the hotel went out of their way to refund the remaining hotel nights. This wasn't a condition available to me when booking indirectly, but they did it anyway. That's just pure kindness. My dream didn't come true, but we will go back this summer and really enjoy it! My husband said the hotel was spotless, beautiful, central, and the staff were excellent.

The staff was very friendly and was easy to work with. The room was very clean and it was quiet at night which made it easy to sleep.The view of Quebec City at night was beautiful.The location of the hotel in relation to Quebec City was very good.

The room that I reserved through “booking.com” was not the room that I stayed in. The room that I reserved stated that there was a queen size bed in the room, showed a large room and showed a large bathroom with two sinks. The room that I was given had a smaller bed, (a double, not a queen size bed) a smaller room overall and a much smaller bathroom. There wasn’t a lot of room to maneuver in the bathroom.

History, location, views.

The room was very cramped with limited storage space. Most (not all) Bistro and bar staff were not very attentive or friendly. They seemed to be rushed and want to get people seated, get orders and get them out as soon as possible. Far too many people at the Bistro reception taking bookings and showing people to seats. Perhaps move some of these people into serving where the attention/support is needed. Some Bistro reception and serving staff were quite rude.

Booking.con was awful and increased our agreed rate by almost 3 fold. We cannot afford such an outrageous increase and have tried to dispute this charge more than once. Booking.com did not respond, Tina, said she would calla back and did not. I am requesting the booking.com credit the outrageous sum charged and re-bill at the previously agreed upon rate of $298/night. We are so very disappointed with booking.com and their competitor always charges the rate agreed upon and never inflates it on the back end to ruin a vacation. Please review and reverse the charges. My travel companions are upset with me but booking.com is to blame.

Charge the price that was originally agreed upon and not inflate the price astronomically so that we cannot afford it. I did not see an email with the increased price or I surely would have canceled and found a more reasonably priced hotel.

As we drove into the parking area, the bellmen were ready to get our luggage from the car, take it to our room, and park the car. On check in, the reservationist was kind and welcoming. The room was quiet, and we enjoyed being in the old town area.

First, please provide several options for pillows from soft to hard. The reservationist became deceitful in my opinion when it came to our getting a room. First he stated there were no rooms available on the level we had paid, but he would upgrade our room without our having to pay more with a nicer view than the original room view. Why did I not have a room already reserved? I would hate to see the original room’s view based on the upgraded room view. From one of the beds there was no view to be seen. From the other bed, roof tops were seen. Peering from the window close by would allow a patio area to partially be seen along with some homes.

A very well-located and historic hotel. The staff is very attentive, and the check-in and check-out process is extremely easy. An excellent breakfast, as well as outstanding service at the restaurant. If you have the chance, the bar is also a great highlight. Drinks and service of the highest quality. Of course, all at a price...

The first time we stayed at the hotel, we were in a traditional room with two double beds for four people (me, my wife, and my two children, aged 17 and 12), and we found it very cramped. This time, we chose a larger 51m² room, and it worked perfectly.

Staying in an historic "castle" with magnificent ambiance. It gave us the feel of being somewhere in Europe for a day. Noon check out was appreciated as it gave us the morning fir more site seeing. The location of the hotel is great!

Wish the pool was open til 10 It was a busy weekend, and hotel tours were booked. Didn't expect that We waited 30 min.s for the valet to bring our car after we checked out. We had a 5 hour drive, so that was significant. But, so nice to have valet parking on site
