Staff were friendly and aware that we didnt speak German so got hotel manager to call us to see if we needed anything. Room was extremely comfortable and clean. Only over the road from Cafe Herz and short walk from centre of Rottweil. We can't wait to come and stay again.

Could be noisy when groups of people where chatting outside the room. But this happened once for 10mins over a 4 night stay.

Although the hotel looked a bit old when entering, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Great location, only 10 minutes walking from the city centre.

The staff was really friendly. Inner city location and good parking possibilities. It was easy to check in.

The location was convenient to the Old Town area of Rottweil. In addition, there were a couple of restaurants nearby that were open when we needed them -- like on a Sunday morning. The management allowed me and my colleague to store our luggage in the hotel rooms on checkout day -- that was greatly appreciated.

It would have been nice to have instructions on the WiFi in more than German. I used Google Translate to get me out of that jam. The soap dispenser next to the sink was empty.

The room was very small but I stayed alone, 2 nights, so it was was enough for me. It was clean, close to center and the host was very helpful. I recommend it for people who spend the day out and use the room to sleep and shower. I would go again.

After reading other reviews about sound and furnishings, our curiosity lead us to book, especially because we really need a place close to the centre and with free parking. Those two factors cannot be beat! We loved the walk into town and knew our car was safe. The location is excellent for exploring Rottweil! What a gem of a town. As for the room's interior furnishings, I'm personally a fan of old wooden beds, desks, and armoires. These are classic and I'm glad every hotel hasn't yet become a white glossy IKEA catalogue. These have character and it is sustainable to retain what is still perfectly fine. However, the price should be lower for what it is, it's true. The rate of €95 a night for a twin-bedded room is indeed too much for what it is, especially because there is absolutely no sound barrier and you will hear every conversation from your neighbours. Luckily the guest next door ended his phone convo before midnight and we slept rather well.

Pillows and mattresses are in dire need of replacing. Hotels are notorious for hard mattresses in general, but this owner should indeed replace them, as well as the pillows, which are worn down to being practically nonexistent. A comfy bed and pillow + the charm of older interiors would be quite the stay. We were lucky we were on a road trip and had our own pillows; otherwise my neck would have been so painful by morning that the drive ahead would have been miserable/dangerous. There is no reception area to speak of when arriving at 19:00, and the separately-owned restaurant downstairs does not appreciate hotel guests using their toilets, so prepare for a gruff reaction. We avoided those people as much as possible. Too bad; there could be a really nice collaboration, but it's clear something is amiss between the hotel and the restaurant.
