Other hotels should come here to watch how a great an in-house restaurant can be. Modern design and use of talavera throughout, on the hotel walls and in private spaces. Beautiful bath. High quality linens. Lovely heated pool. Staff was kind and very helpful. Universal clean water system.

We'd stay here again, noting all of the surfaces are hard, so sound resonates and travels. It didn't feel like we had real privacy when we could hear conversations while in the room. More soft furnishings would help a great deal. You have to cross a main road to reach Puebla center and it can feel pretty hairy against traffic.

The pool, the SPA, the restaurant, the bathroom of the room.

Some rooms (maybe the ones sold here) face the street (very noisy), or the room with the tables of the dining room. Our room was above the kitchen, facing the dining room, with no real sunlight. We had to keep the blinds closed during our stay so people eating wouldn't see us.

Really comfortable room with a huge bed, nice hot water with great pressure in the shower, rooftop pool, the food in the restaurant was amazing and there was a stunning view of the sunset over the volcano from the running track on the roof, close to the town centre so easy to walk to places

Only eight sun loungers by the pool, hotel could do with more soft furnishing to prevent noise travelling as far as it did. I was right above the restaurant which was fairly noisy in the evening but did quieten down before I wanted to sleep so didn't affect me much. Extra bottles of water were quite expensive for a small size so went to the convenience store to buy a 2L bottle.

Everything - staff etc. My husband got sick from some bad food he ate somewhere. I couldn't find bananas anywhere as it was a Sunday. Adalid sent some complimentary bananas to the room. Elizabeth arranged for us to stay some more hours in the room until our bus so that he could sleep in the room. Thanks so much. The hotel itself is gorgeous and conveniently located to everything.

A tea kettle would have been great. I had to ask for hot water a few times a day as I drink a lot of tea - it was hilarious as sometimes. got a giant pitcher of hot water instead of a tea pot.

Honestly, this is one of our favorite places to stay in all of Mexico. It's kind of a hidden gem as the front of the hotel doesn't look like much. The location, right on the edge of the old town, is convenient. Once inside, the character of the place and the rooms them self are such a joy to be in. The bespoke furnishings are of some of the highest quality I've seen; the mattress was very large and very comfortable; the rooms are spacious with nice tall ceilings. We stayed in a room near the pool, it was peaceful and lovely. We had an extra bonus from the desk manager after checkout. He noticed some challenge we were having with transportation and offered a ride (in a brand new Audi SUV) to the bus station. Very personal service, thank you.

If we could have spent another nite and had time to sample the restaurant.

An absolutely beautifully curated hotel with Talavera de la Reyna around every corner. We loved the marriage of the old stone building with the new modern facilities. Our room was spacious and elegant yet simple....we could have stayed for a week. We also enjoyed a very good massage at the Spa.

We loved the restaurant...the food, service and ambiance - we ate 3 breakfasts, 1 lunch and 3 dinners. We would have liked a little more diversity - like duck, rabbit, cabrito, rack of lamb.

Hotel Casareyna is an oasis of art and beauty in the marvelous historic center of Puebla. The restaurant is excellent ... breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff of both the hotel and restaurant are helpful, kind, and very professional. The hotel itself is immaculately clean and well-maintained. The rooms are beautifully furnished with hand-made furniture and rugs. The pictures on the hotel web site are lovely, but the hotel is even better in person. We would happily stay her again if we are lucky enough to return to Puebla.

The decor is absolutely beautiful!

It’s kind of like staying at an airbnb as there is hardly any interaction with the staff. There are plenty of staff they just don’t ask if you need anything. We spent afternoons at the pool and no one ever came to offer a drink. There are plenty of tables scattered around and plenty of space in beautiful courtyards but no one around. There is no bar although you can have a pre dinner drink at a table at entrance of restaurant but the tables appear jammed into a waiting space. Strangely as there is so much courtyard space throughout.

This is a beautifully decorated hotel in excellent location. We had delicious breakfasts and two dinners in the restaurant. Our room was nicely furnished and quite comfortable. We were on the third floor, and had no noise from the ground floor restaurants and conference areas. The window of the room looks out onto the hallway, but there is a very good shade on it, so privacy is ensured. From the rooftop, you have a nice view of the city, including the volcano on clear mornings. We would definitely recommend and come to stay again.

The restaurant and conference facilities are very well known, and sometimes the place was quite chaotic. The last morning for example, we had to make our way through crowds of guests from two different outside parties. The hotel provides a nespresso machine and only offers complimentary capsules on the first day. After that you need to pay. I thought that was rather chintzy- hotels who offer coffee in the room generally offer one set-up per day included. A small fridge in the room would be nice. Bathroom is not very well lit for doing make-up. My room had just an old fashioned makeup mirror while my friend's room had a plug in makeup mirror but it didn't work.
