Easy to find, very nice looking, very clean, the beds were made perfectly, the staff were efficient, nice, very courteous and helpful. We had a great sleep after a long days drive. The bathroom was perfect: love the easy access “bathtub “, the toiletries in pump style bottles (for shampoo, conditioner and body wash). Good shower. All in all an excellent bedroom. We also had an excellent dinner at the hotel restaurant. Above and beyond the food grade found at roadside hotels. Delicious garlic shrimp with tzatziki sauce and Nan bread, and grilled salmon with vegetables and a tasty potato purée. The breakfast that was included with the room was plenty and, again, delicious, great coffee too. Great value for money. I will highly recommend it to friends and anyone I know is travelling to this part of the country. Definitely a stop for us when we come back to New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island.

The Amsterdam was a big surprise; located almost midway between Halifax and Montreal, it's a great place to sleep over if you don't feel like driving 10 to 11 hours non-stop. It's not a luxury hotel but it's efficient, clean, good size rooms with all of the basics including a fridge, good towels, etc. The hotel is only 3 years old and yet shows no signs of wear and tear. The adjoining restaurant it also very nice, comfortable and has a good menu. Both our supper and free breakfast were very good and tasted "home made". They also have a snack bar in the lobby for those with the munchies. Super friendly staff too.

Always a great stay, but because of a power outage, we didn't get to have the hot breakfast or take showers. We drove from Ontario and got in after 12 hours of driving. Thought we would take nice hot showers in the morning before departing for our final stop home in Nova Scotia to no avail. It's not the inns fault. The person at the desk mentioned a possible refund from the corporation.

Location next to the highway. Very modern and clean. Restaurant next door is recommended, especially as there is not much choice in the area. Very friendly staff in the hotel and restaurant. Good grab & go breakfast included for people who do not like or have no time for a full breakfast.

Not much, but the windows in the room cannot be opened, so for "fresh" air, the air-condition needs to be on all the time. The door to the hallway leads through quite a lot of light.

Our stay was complete perfection!! Spotless, clean and comfortable room. Extra towels and a night light in bathroom. Staff was super both at front desk and restaurant. We had dinner at the Exit 153 restaurant and the complimentary breakfast, both meals were exceptional. Pet friendly room with a large green space outside our door. We would highly recommend to all travellers and would hope to see Amsterdam Inn & Suites all across Canada one day 😊

The room was big with 2 queen comfortable beds

If you are vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free, you will find very little to eat for breakfast. There were scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, a version of a croissant and biscuit. Commercial cereals. Apple and green bananas. If you want to pay for your breakfast, you might find additional options.

Very good breakfast. I had the ham with the eggs....lots of ham!!...too many potatoes....only one toast (I could have eaten one more toast instead of the potatoes) but all in all very good meal!!

When coming back one late afternoon, only one bed of the 2 beds was made....we wondered if it was because money was left on that one pillow and not the other....

There’s coffee machine, ice machine. Great breakfast, nice view from windows, air conditioner is not facing bed, it’s quite. There’s fridge in the room. Friendly staff have prepared invoices and paper ahead of time

Smells like newly renovated. Coughed a lot at the beginning. Breakfast is served slowly, waiting 15min before getting seated with waiters. We need to drive 6hours and was anxious waiting too long.

We have stayed here many times and love the breakfast.

Choices at the breakfast have diminished . But worse, the restaurant was terribly understaffed. As a result breakfast was very slow. The server seemed to be on his own and was working hard and on the run but the wait for our eggs was longer than we like with a big drive ahead of us.

The location is right off the highway less than 1 km and easy to access, large parking lot and a very nice clean hotel. We were very happy with the size of our room, a king bed and a full sized sofa and desk. The room was very clean as were the hallways. The bed was comfortable and the linens of good quality. We were greeted on arrival by a friendly front desk clerk, it was 840 in the evening and when we asked if the restaurant was open she suggested they might be able to do take out as they closed at 9. We went to see if they could provide a take out order and Lorraine said come on in and eat here. We did and had an excellent meal, Caesar salad and seared scallops with roasted red pepper linguini, it exceeded our expectations. Lorraine was welcoming and even assisted my husband in selecting a local draft beer. The breakfast offered in the morning was also very good and provided some good options if you want to change from the standard breakfast. We will always make this our stop between Ontario and PEI

There was nothing that we did not like about this hotel and restaurant.
