Booking for 2 adults. Large clean room with very big comfy bed. Ideal location for a wedding we were attending. Large restaurant with great food choice. No shortage of parking. All staff were friendly and professional. And I'm super happy as the room had an iron and ironing board :)

Stayed 2 nights. First night we were told there was a Prom in the event room... no issue at all with the event but a group of about 10 adult females coming back to their rooms at 00.20am woke the whole floor up when messing about loudly in the corridor. Reported to reception next morning and staff member accepted the complaint and advised that she would speak to them. No Safe in room. Ate in restaurant both nights. Night 1 just 3 of us and my husbands meal never turned up until chased and we had already started eating. Night 2 - 13 of us for wedding meal and again my husbands meal never turned up until chased. Nothing major but slightly disappointing.

Single occupancy room for Mother in Law - Large comfortable room that was very clean. Iron and ironing board...great. Tea & Coffee facilities with good choice. Fan in room for warm nights. Location was good for a wedding I was attending but on an industrial park so nothing else close by. Large parking area. Great breakfast and restaurant is large with excellent food choice.

Could do with blackout curtains. No safe. Kept awake on night 2 by a group of boys playing football in garden up to 23.50. I was told that there was a wedding reception in the event room which was no problem but I'd expect them to keep the kids inside when it got late (if they were from the wedding party) Bar and restaurant closes at 22.00 even for hotel guests.

On the hotel side things were absolutely fine no problems and I was contacted by a member of staff to say I had left something in the room and we arranged for my friend to collect the item(s)

The breakfast in the restaurant area was not at all good, apparently the card machine had just gone down, I had breakfast included in my stay but was buying a friend one as well(I paid cash) and then was told the coffee was extra and we only got small mugs!! we sat at a table and then went to collect our coffees and cereal no bowls or spoons or juice . when we got back to our table and someone had placed dirty used plates next to our unused ones.(I placed these on an unused table and they were still there 45mins later when we left) We ate our cereals and went to get the cooked side of breakfast and mine was okay (toasted bacon sandwich self done) but my friend had a small English and she said most of it was cold!

The room had everything you needed,kept lovely and warm. The staff were so welcoming and helpful in both hotel and restaurant, food great and great value.

Pillows we're a little too firm for me but nothing you couldn't deal with, the noise from the event on at the venue was OK as we expected is we were informed a few days prior to arrival event was happening, as our room was directly above the doors lots of loud people smoking right below our room till midnight, couldn't of opened windows even is we had wanted to. But with that said second night was really quiet so it was all good.

Breakfast was excellent. Good choice and friendly staff.

The staff were lovely and friendly, apart from the first person I spoke to at the bar to make my food order on the first night. He was very grumpy, no eye contact or smile and didn’t make me feel very comfortable or welcome. Not at all like all the other staff I met subsequently, which was a relief, as they were great. First impressions do count and after a 6 hour drive it would have made all the difference to be made welcome when ordering food at the bar. Otherwise, everyone else was fantastic.

Friendly staff on reception, in bar and housekeeping. Everything worked and a fan in the room kept us comfortable on a very hot night. There was a wedding on the Saturday but noise from the party was barely noticeable in our room, and stopped at a decent hour. The bed was huge. A cab into the city was about £12, so reasonable.

The fire doors in the corridor clunk a bit when they are let swing shut, which is a bit tiresome rather than a massive nuisance.

On arrival, greeted by a very cheerful, personable and efficient receptionist (named Alice). She kindly obliged by storing some gift cheese items in the fridge overnight for me. When I went to my room, the soap dispenser had fallen off the wall, into the bath and was broken as a result. When I explained to her what I had found, within a very short time she arrived in my room with the maintenance man and a new dispenser was promptly and efficiently fixed back on to the wall. She also supplied me with extra coffee sachets as I like strong coffee. Her whole demeanour was one of being a good communicator, efficient, pleasant and cheerful. She deserves to do well in her hospitality career! The room and facilities were ideal for my one night stay. Parking was also plentiful.

Some road signage to aid drivers to locate the hotel more easily would be of great assistance.

We only booked for.one nights B&B as traveling through. Young lady on reception (Katelyn) was very welcoming, cheerful, informative and professional Cleaning staff we met also very cheerful and welcoming Room was very nice, clean and spacious. We had dinner in the adjacent pub. A carvery which was excellent value. Breakfast was very good and as much as you wanted Except value all round and great of a stop off needed off the A1

On arrival at reception we was met by Lewis whom was very friendly, checking in was a breeze and was given information about the the hotel, eating, drinking including contacting staff if any problems, we had arrived early evening as we had been to truckfest at the showground that day and enquired about getting food Lewis explained that they were quite busy, explained that when we were ready to eat to come down and he would sort a table for us. Lewis kept his word and we were sat down eating within 30 minutes of arriving at the venue. The family room was lovely, very spacious and clean, the beds beds really comfy and plenty of pillows 😁. I would definitely recommend staying here and this will be our go to stop-over when we come back for truckfest next year.

I visited with my youngest daughter who likes to take up a lot of space when co-sleeping so I asked for a room with a queen bed. I ended up with a room with a super king-size bed and an extra single put-up bed all made up separately for her to sleep in. It was heaven! this is the second year in a row we have stayed and every time the staff have been exceptional! Seeing Bluey at breakfast was just the icing on the cake for my daughter!
