So glad I found this place on our travels. On a cold day we arrived to find our room toasty warm. We'd booked ahead a table in the restaurant and gotta say, so bloody glad we did. The food was fabulous, equal to any flash restaurant. Beef cheeks and scalloped potatoes, lamb shank pie, so good, washed down with lovely local wine, gluten free sticky date pudding was to die for. Terrific atmosphere, an open fire radiating its charm. With attentive staff who were genuine to please and chat. And why not, the place is like a magnet for those in the know who wants good food and wine. Beds were very comfy and we had a snug and peaceful sleep.

Fabulous room, beautifully appointed, with toaster, kettle and a full sized fridge! Large bathroom too. Loved the pool and the loungers. Lots of nice touches such as pool towels and shower room near the pool. Walking distance to the shops as well. Staff are great too.

Sadly we weren't there when the pizza was available but I'm told the food is fabulous. I hope to go back soon. The gardens could do with a bit of a tidy up but could not fault the room itself, so do not judge this book by its cover!

It’s was just beautiful with a lovely bar tender who was so welcoming and polite. Stunning outside area where we ate wood fire pizzas and a cozy room. The kids even enjoyed dipping in the pool and the husband was excited about the sauna. It had a playroom which was good to kill time before bed and a tennis court too! We loved it!!!

I honestly can’t think of anything! It was a perfect little getaway!

Everything about the Lancefield Lodge was great. It was a random choice by us with no prior expectations. The staff, particularly the barman are excellent and very welcoming. The food was outstanding and the open fire in the restaurant/bar was an added bonus. The room was clean and comfortable with all the facilities we required. I'd happily stay there again.

Very well maintained property. Our king size bed was so dreamy to sleep in and the reverse cycle aircon kept us toasty, even when it was below freezing outside. The room is well stocked, including an espresso machine with yummy coffee. Parked directly outside our room too.

Sadly the restaurant was closed when we stayed, but heaps of places to eat in town.

Just a couple of little disappointments - Window coverings not particularly light-proof, bathroom mirror too low for a tall person to use it easily, parking spaces in front of rooms generally good, but we had to squeeze in because of a (beautiful) tree somewhat it the way.

We stayed over Christmas eve and through to Boxing day, so had little interaction, nor expectation of it. Simply grateful for the opportunity to stay and be able to enjoy time with family in the area. The room was ideal for our need, with a TV, fridge, microwave and toaster. The shower was superb. Although not used by us, the bar and outdoor dining area looked fabulous - rustic and relaxing.

The bathroom, compared to the main room, was a little dated (but made no material impact on our comfort or enjoyment).

I loved the ruralness of the location, the closeness to the bus stop and the layout of the room. The cleaning staff offered daily to service the room; however, since the covid shutdown, I refuse entry once I check in because I further sanitize my space. There was a fantastic crystal shop I happen-stanced on within walking distance to downtown Lancefield.

There were some noisy guests that were assigned on both sides of me on the second or third night; I had to put in earplugs to get sleep. It was annoying because it appeared the rest of the lodge was vacant. The available food choices were decent but overpriced as a guest. I'm a US citizen, and unfortunately, we're mostly addicted to sugar, so the food wasn't as tasty as I would've liked.

The beds were extremely comfortable, the shower was BLISS- the service exceptional. We were in VIC for an unexpected family emergency and the comfort was greatly appreciated. We want to come back in summer to experience the great outdoor amenities and think it would be a brilliant place for a family reunion or small function!!

Absolutely nothing- we had no negative experiences or unsatisfactory service.
