The interior design and the whole building is really unusual, very different from most hotels we know. Even if some decorations, paintings or photos weren´t strictly our taste, together it all looked good and we liked the atmosphere a lot. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was absolutely clean, the beds were comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast.

It´s probably not possible to do something about the double windows of a historical building to make them sound-proof, but the noise of car tyres on the busy cobbled street was slightly annoying.

We knew that the hotel is located on the Main Street, very close to everything so it was one of the decision makers. We visited your coffee place few times before so we were sure it will be quality guaranteed but not in our wildest dreams we were expecting such a high level of professionalism, comfort and modern amenities. We were slightly sceptic staying in an antique looking hotel (previous experiences) but everything was modern, clean, unique… truly a luxurious boutique experience. Thank you we will stay again!

Everything’s no was perfect

Very nicely designed and decorated boutique rooms, filled with antique furniture and books. Our suite has a separate entrance and includes a sitting area, kitchen, dinette besides main bedroom. Room is very quiet away from the main road. Location is perfect in the heart of the historic old town.

Parking is 5 minutes away but you can stop at the front to load unload. Breakfast is not all-inclusive, capped at 25EUR per room. Enough for two sandwiches and juice.

It is an exceptional boutique hotel, creatively furnished full of art and historic charm - with very comfortable and spacious room, and also big bathroom. Given the hotel is in the historical building, there is no lift (which was not an issue for us, but just in case it is important for anyone with disabilities or heavy luggage). There is an amazing garden terrace where you can take some rest, read or enjoy the breakfast in case the weather is good. In case you have the room with windows oriented to the street, it may get a little bit loud early in the morning (but again it did not disturb us at all). Also staff is very helpful - they also called us in advance to explain where we can park. Parking is available approx. 10min away (walking) from the hotel, but you can leave your car in front of the hotel for few minutes to unload your luggage. As a bonus, welcome drink was served upon arrival and delicious pralines were awaiting us in the room :)

There is a limit for the breakfast up to 25 EUR per room - you need to order the breakfast based on the cafe's menu (and prices). This was not an issue for us, however for the hotel which classifies itself as a 5-star hotel, one would expect hotel guests can enjoy at least morning coffee without any limit. Within this limit, we had 2 toasts and 2 hot drinks. You can of course order whatever you want, but then you need to cover it yourself as an additional expense. However the quality of the food was great.

It looks a lot better in real life than pictures. Very beautifully styled, just at the town centre. Staff very friendly and the food was very good!

The only downside was that I paid for an extra bed as I was travelling with my teenage son, the bed was a divan and very uncomfortable.

Love the unique style of the hotel it’s very querky, odd and fascinating! Our room was gorgeous with the view of the old historic city centre of Banska Stiavnica. Breakfast were delicious and hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Over the summer the room can get quite hot. There is a fan provided however it can still feel a bit warmer for my liking.

This hotel, situated at the very heart of the old town, is a magical, romantic place, a true rendez-vous of extraordinary comfort and an explosion of artistic creation! The staff is extremely kind and helpful, it is thanks to a very nice young lady at the reception that my birthday celebration was fantastic! I will definitely be back!

The location and unique esthetic are truly an experience. It's definitely worth visiting for a night or two. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. The room was super clean, and food and amenities were amazing.

The budget for breakfast was a little tight for 2 persons - considering the prices in the cafe

Lovely place, charming, beautful and a perfect example of how boutique is and can be better than larger hotels! Also homemade chocolate in the room a lovely touch!
