The staff were friendly. Thank you for the super one night accommodation. The room was neat and clean and supplied us with everything we needed. The guest house was easy to find. The restaurant next door was brilliant!

The staff left at 5pm and we were left alone in the house for the night. Not really a problem for us but it felt strange. Not sure if this is normal practice or that it was because we were the only guests for that night. We would have liked a room with a shower. As we were leaving too early for the normal breakfast time we were kindly given a takeaway breakfast. However our takeaway breakfast of toasted bacon and egg sandwiches with sausages and bottles of juice was made the previous evening. So not so nice when we ate it on the road at 9am the following morning. I would suggests guests are rather given a takeaway breakfast of fruit, yogurt, muffins or plain sandwiches or croissants? A continental breakfast?

This place was really nice. I would stay here again for sure. We loved how understanding and accommodating the host was.The host was friendly and sweet upon arrival. The place was warm and inviting. We loved the old fashioned yet clean and beautiful vibe the place had it was a wonderful rest stop and we'd definitely stay here again.

With all due respect to the hosts as they were lovely. A little suggestion would be to have some grab and go stuff available at breakfast time. As we weren't really told to stay for breakfast even though breakfast is included in the payment. Like there was no one who offered us something that we could just grab on the way out like a muffin or fruit or a juice. To have a little on the go snack or something to keep us hydrated even though we had paid but did not eat breakfast. So I felt that could be something they can consider improving upon as alot of people want to get back on the road early and can't wait for breakfast time. Maybe that could be a recommendation for future stays.

Great location, kind, helpful and friendly host (Kenneth), delicious breakfast, comfortable rooms, lovely staff, quiet area, super restaurant next door. All round it is a peaceful spot to recharge our batteries before continuing to Cape Town. Also, it is excellent value for money. We had a lovely visit and would definitely stay again, and recommend Nanna Rous' BnB to friends and family.

Only complaint was the floor fan wasn't working and another fan was coming loose from the wall. But those are minor, and Kenneth welcomed the feedback.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nana Rouse Guest House! The location was perfect—tucked away on a quiet and peaceful street, allowing us to relax and unwind. Our host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The cherry on top was the delicious, hearty breakfast prepared by the lovely Loretta the following morning. We highly recommend Nana Rouse Guest House for its warm hospitality, comfortable accommodations, and excellent location!

No negative points.

We overnighted at Nanna Rou's on our way to Capetown and on our way back. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Tea and Coffee station and a mini fridge were available for us to use. The room had two fans to help with the mid summer heat. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We had a big, delicious English breakfast and it was ready on time every time. Thank you, Rosie. We will absolutely visit them again.

The rooms are clean and hygienic. We just spent a night and slept well. The property is beautiful and in walking distance to the restaurant Inni kraal. We called a couple of days in advance and informed we don't take beef and pork and they did keep chicken for us in the breakfast. The breakfast was delicious. The owners too are such warm people. We were welcomed pleasantly. The next day asked if we slept well. The owner even accepted 880 rands online payment which I did actually did 12 hours after checkout. The bathrooms are huge and spotless.

Our stay at Nanna Rous was short but so enjoyable. We had a lovely stay with very friendly staff and good accommodation. They were very accommodating with our cats and they enjoyed the rest. Absolutely loved the breakfast. We even learned a little bit of history while in Colesberg.

The WiFi signal was not very strong in the room and therefore would not recommend for someone who needs to work on the go, but for a layover, it was fine.

we loved the welcome we received from Ken. He is so polite and just such a lovely person. The breakfast was excellent . much better than we expected . Rosy was also so lovely . The dining area was spotless. Clean tablecloths , cutlery and crockery. The rooms and bath room was spotlessly clean. You cannot fault it.

The beds were not comfy and the room was very hot. We did put the fans on but they are noisy . I also did not like the stairs . It is an accident bound to happen. You might be in a daze whilst using the bath room in the middle of the night and you miss one of those steps. You will fall very hard. So that made me nervous. Colesburg is such a great stop over going to Cape Town , PE and a lot of other places. Why does it still look so dilapidated and dirty . Can the community not jack the town up a bit so that it does not look like a dump when you drive in. We had dinner at a lovely little restaurant and I saw a few lovely places but the town itself does not look safe .

The host, Kenneth, and all the staff treated us like family, like the lost son coming home,friendly,warm,heartly and we chatted like old friends. Breakfast was beter than xour oumas plaas breakfast. The facilities were squeeqy clean, fresh and neat. The town has wonderfull restaurants, the Plattelander is a must

Staff was VERY friendly and helpfull - explained everything thoroughly and assisted us where they could. Breakfast was very good and the referring to a restaurant was of good value to us. Thank you

The only thing that I might mention is that for us as ladies there is not a chair to sit by the mirror to get ourselfves sorted in the morning. you might want to look at providing bath SHEETS and not just the normal towels (some of us are unfortunately a bit bigger than other and will enjoy a sheet better)
