What a beautiful little place to stay in. Malvahuisie is exceptional and Anmarie is a wonderful host. We loved everything about it. It was clean, well positioned, had everything we could possibly need and with its own braai area and even a splash pool to dip in. Loved it

Nothing to complain of at all.

This is a hidden gem. Anemarie is the perfect hostess and accommodated our every need. If you love antiques, the rooms are beautifully furnished, the beds extremely comfortable, and the setting both relaxing and centrally located to several area activities. The plunge pool allowed us to cool down on hot afternoons and the communal areas invited us to linger longer with the family. The pictures shown on the website are exactly what one can expect, and the warm South African hospitality is what we truly appreciated even more!!! Thank you for making our family stay so memorable.

We didn't enjoy leaving and will definitely be back to explore the area even more. For those wanting to dine out, most places are closed on the weekend but Outdsthoorn is only a 20min drive away with several fantastic options if the restaurants in De Rust are closed. As seasoned travellers, this allowed us to explore even more.

Perfect location for family stopover en route to Addo. The kitchen has everything you could ever need and the outside area is large and quiet.

The hosts have clearly gone to alot of trouble to decorate teh rooms, but in my opinion perhaps a few things can be removed to make it easier to unpack your own belongings. We had to move a number of 'ornaments and opjects' to the floor or other shelve sto clear up space for our stuff.

Excellent accomodation. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Place was neat and clean.

Shower was difficult to manipulate but I think that was due to low water pressure.

Fantastic room, beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail. Exceptional hostess. The sunken bath was fantastic!!

The street traffic could be a little noisy for the light sleeper, but it didn't bother me much.

Beautiful establishment! Anmarie is a wonderful host that pays attention to detail. Take a step back in time with the gorgeous decor. We were comfortable and walking distance to plenty of eateries.

The Malvahuisie was Awesome. Loved the complimentary cherry, the splash pool in this heat 🥵was very nice. Garden is beautiful. Very well looked after property. Doggie🐩 was allowed. Thx

The fridge was a bit small. We could not fit all our stuff into the barfridge and it was very hot.. So maybe a bigger fridge???

Wonderful host in Anmarie. Quirky cottage with classic Karoo charm. Close to restaurants.

Shower difficult to control heat and a little noisy being on the main road, but overall a wonderful stay and would definitely consider staying again!

We received a warm friendly welcome on arrival to this excellent guesthouse, the room had an old worldly charm, beautiful and very clean, the garden and view of the mountain is breathtaking, the manager and staff very friendly and helpfull. Overall a wonderful experience, highly recommended.
