What was there not to like....From the moment we (myself, my teenage daughter and my best friend) arrived we received a warm welcome from Veronique and Nosey. We felt instantly at home and comfortable to speak freely. I hadn't been back in 17 years so to be met with this familiar sincerity and hospitality was extremely moving and meant alot to me especially since it was my daughter's first experience of her other roots besides British. I cannot express how much staying there enhanced our holiday. Veronique was accommodating in accepting my family and friends popping in to see us briefly on 2 ocassions. We booked 2 rooms so my friend and I could go to sleep at a decent hour and rise early. Allowing my teenage daughter to catch up with friends back home until silly o'clock and then so incredibly kind and understanding Veronique would cook her requested brekkie last allowing my daughter to have extra sleep and Nosey taking it to her room so she could eat it in her leisure then face the world with a renewed freshness. Parents will understand that comment. It was delightful for me to be able to eat an uninterrupted brekkie and have a cup of tea. Tick tick!! Nosey was at hand to do the odd clothing washing request as we were not successful in finding an open laundromat. Honestly it was quite emotional saying goodbye to them. It's so surreal in life how quickly you can become attached to people in a short space of time. But it's not surprising when you meet people like this. Thank you guys for an incredibly memorable stay and the best omelette I ever had. And I've had more than a few in my travels. Much love and hopefully we will meet again xo

N/A AS THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!

From the time we arrived, we received a warm welcome from Nosipho. The hosts Veronique & John were awesome. They made us feel at home. We had pleasant conversations while sitting by the Lapa and having a scrumptious breakfast made by Veronique. I like the fact that they are hands-on, made our stay extra special. We are definitely coming back before the end of the year. Next time, we will try Veronique's famous Omelette. Loved the location, it's so central within a kilometer you find shops and restaurants. Almost heaven is the place to be if tranquility is what you are looking for.

The Breakfast was good, service good, staff friendly

The fact that a lot of the time I had no water to shower or flush the toilet for days at a time, I was having to pour water into the toilet tank to flush. This was a civic problem however l feel that there should be a back up plan such as water storage tanks that are kept full at times when water is available. This spoilt holiday as life was very uncomfortable due to the heat and lack of being able to.shower.

Comfortable, clean, friendly, welcoming. Great bed and pillows. Nice mirror and ligting for doing hair and make up. Bedside tables with lamps. Plugs for chargers helped a lot. Aircom was great.

Breakfast was divine!!! Our stay was incredible, the owners were lovely and very accommodating and the ladies were all very friendly. Beds were super comfy which is NB as my husband ran comrades so he needed this to be top notch and it was. We will definitely be back next year and next time we will order the ribs for dinner.

Nothing, Liked everything

Our host Veronique was kind, accommodating, friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. They were serviced daily by great staff. Nothing was lacking. The property is secure and there is a lovely lapa area and pool. Thank you for a great stay!

Quiet neighbourhood. Lots of space to relax. Friendly staff. Storage for your clothes and stuff. Mini fridge for anything you want to keep cool or preserve. Lamps for a romantic night. En-suite bath. Very clean. Delicious breakfast. Included Wi-Fi. Veronique and her staff are not intrusive at all and give you your privacy. The old man (Ronnie I reckon), is a laid back and nice fellow. We cracked a few jokes. Would definitely return here.

Don't get me wrong, the physical state of the property is in great condition, but the missing grid/grate/mixer top on the wash hand basin is a bit concerning. It's small things like that which take away a measly point from an otherwise perfect place.

Located in a beautiful, quite and clean suburb, central to various amenities in and around Durban and Umhlanga. Loved the serenity!

The location was central and very convenient, and parking was not a hassle. The hosts were very warm, caring and hospitable. The omelette was perfect and something you have to try when you are here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the breakfast and the location. Have already recommended it to family as a lovely relaxing place for a stay. We felt completely at home with the friendly people and environment.
