The breakfast was great. I was very happy with the service and the staff being able to accommodate to my schedule with my early mornings and busy days. I was happy with the cleaning and overall the facilities were perfect. It was prime location as I was working at Kearnsey College.

On one of the days the plumbing was broken and the water was cold - they let me know I could shower inside the room which was great solution but the problem was that I was already heading off to work for the day. On the last day there was no power and the solar power ran out which was frustrating. It was just a frustrating experience although I understand it was out of anyone's control.

Great location for the Hillcrest/Botha's Hill area. Lovely gardens and decor. Clean, fluffy towels, great shower and comfortable bed. I felt safe while staying there. Breakfast was great - good quality ingredients that set me up for the day. Maltabello could not have been more helpful. Highly recommend.

Minor thing but wouldn't mind a deadlock/chain on the bedroom door for extra sense of security - but not a deal breaker.

The place is beautiful, when you enter the gate you are welcomed with warmth. Ausi Mathapelo welcomed us with a smile and love we immediately felt relaxed and at home, she is such a good host, lovely and friendly. This place is 5 star, the experience that you get from here is unmatched, the service is excellent we were treated like Queens from the night we arrived untill we left. The house keepers made sure that we had everything that we needed and always available when we needed them. There's something about the garden, it is gorgeous you need to be there to actually get the experience, you can set up your mini picnic at the back of the house if you want to relax, the pictures that comes out of there is beautiful and thanks to Ausi Mathapelo for being our photographer during our stay if you looking for a side hustle this is the one. This place is suitable for business or pleasure. One thing i have noticed about places ,sometimes is not about the beauty of the house or the comfortable bed but the attitude of the staff also makes you want to come back, this is one place that i will want to visit again.

I loved everything about the place and the service we received from hosts to be honest there's nothing not to like about Eagle Wind Manor.

After a long and difficult journey from the UK to SA visiting family in Bothas Hill, where pretty much everything had gone wrong (train strikes, turbulent flight, car hire issue etc) I wasn't holding out much hope for the B&B I had booked into, which was the nearest one to where my family are. When I arrived in my economy hire car I was concerned about the busy main road that the house is on but the gardens are just beautiful, an oasis. I was warmly greeted by Martabello, who helped me with my very heavy suitcase and I was quickly in the sanctum of my bedroom - Fish Eagle 4 - which was huge, with a very comfortable bed, plenty of closets, and armchairs to sit and enjoy the garden view. The bathroom had a shower and bath, Tea/coffee, bottled water, a mini fridge and Free Wi-Fi which actually worked. The only problem was that it was very, very hot and humid and the air conditioning wasn't working because of load shedding but I was quickly brought a fan and that helped alot. I was an exhausted and unhappy traveller but Eagle Wind Manor took me in and restored my "calm". Despite the busy road, which actually got really quiet after around 7pm, I slept like a log and enjoyed the made to order hot breakfast, with cereals and fruit on the side. I reported that I had had problems with the hot water in the shower that morning but seeing as it was such hot weather a cold shower wasn't that big of a deal and quite welcome but my complaint was dealt with swiftly and rectified by the time I came home later that day - a special mention of the bathroom towels - they were fluffy and luxurious. The location for me was really good for family reasons but perhaps if a traveller is visiting Durban it may be too far out, but the countryside is lovely. Martabello was fantastic and I felt well taken care of. I really enjoyed my stay and hope to be back.

Nothing - everything was perfect.

I arrived 3 hours before my check in, the B&B had no issue with that at all. They were warm offered me and my son who was not even booked there coffee, kept my luggage safely and ensured my room was cleaned faster. They were beyond nice and even dropped my son at the school he has a tournament at, they borrowed him linen because he had forgotten to bring it. Breakfast was amazing they ask what you want and it is done the way you want it and so professional. Rooms are so spacious and nice, wifi is working, TV channels are great there is variety and even Netflix. They have a beautiful garden and the place feels so homely. I will definitely come again. It exceeded my expectations and the ladies in charge are just so amazing, they make you feel at home. My flight was in the evening and I stayed in the B&B for as long as I wanted to stay. Great place with amazing excellent staff/

I liked everything, it was amazing!

The ironing service, I had to go down to the ironing room in order to be able to iron my clothes. It would have been easier and convenient if we have ironing set in the room.

This guest house is set in a magnificent, large garden. The front lawn is perfectly maintained with a very large tree in the centre and a quiet bench at one end - perfect for reading a newspaper and sipping a cold beer or a glass of wine after a day on site. Houes has a magnificent wooden staircase leading to the upstairs rooms. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and there is a large lounge downstairs. Breakfast was good and served at a time that suited my early work commitments. The village of Hilcrest is about 4km away ans has a slecection of restaurants ranging from fast food to upmarket establishments. For lunch, there are many country tea rooms thatv serve very good fare. There is plenty to do in the area including views of the Valley or a Thousand Hills.

For those of us who come from the country, the traffic noise can be a disturbance. However, this can be remedied by closing teh street facing windows and opening the others.

A very warm welcome from the host. The staff really made me feel like I just arrived home not a booked accommodation. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms are spacious, you feel at home. Thank you a wonderful stay, see you soon!

This place felt like home. We were welcomed by Neo. She ensured that we have everything we need. The place was clean. The bed was super comfortable. Will definitely come back.

There was a very strong mothball smell in one of our 2 rooms due to a deodorizer cake Under the beds. It was too strong.
