Good value for money! Excellent food! Knowledgeable guides with the biggest respect for nature! Situated at a riverbed with a lot of animals!

Just a little warning; the lodge lies 1,5 - 2 hours drive from the reserve gate.The wifi and phone connections are bad at times. If you have a rented car,be sure that the rental company has an office close by; our had not! Not easy when your car breaks down inside the reserve!

Our stay at Ivory Wilderness River Rock Lodge was the highlight of the holiday. Danell and Wienand were wonderful guides and hosts and made us feel very welcome at this beautiful Lodge. Andrew and Siphiwe looked after us at the Lodge and we enjoyed every meal. The team at Ivory Wilderness work well together and make sure that you are well looked after.

We loved this amazing Safari lodge! Warren and his team were super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay special. We loved the safari drives and the bush walk is a must do! We saw all of the big 5 plus so many more beautiful animals and birds. Warren's knowledge of everything in the park is astonishing and we loved learning about the history of the area and South Africa in general from him. The property is stunning and we especially loved eating/relaxing on the deck watching the many animals pass by.

We can only recommend staying at this wonderful Lodge! Craig, Andrew and all the other staff were so friendly and kind- they made our stay a once in a lifetime experience! They made us a warm welcome, served us delicious food and drinks, and organized the best safari we ever had. Thank you so much for everything - we will never forget our stay!

Nothing, everything was perfect!!

We stayed 4 nights and everything about the stay was an absolute dream, only made possible by the team at Ivory Wilderness. Each excursion felt unique and Shane and Warren are clearly so passionate and knowledgeable, making every sighting big or small an incredible experience. The location on the river is beautiful and very peaceful and meals were varied and delicious.

Perfect location, relaxed and comfortable. The staff were attentive, and very friendly. We felt extremely fortunate to have Craig as our guide.. so knowledgeable regarding the animals and the land. We learnt so much from him. And his patience and knowledge allowed us to see so many beautiful animals. Our stay exceeded our expectations.

Nothing, absolutely nothing

The accommodation is outstanding (traditional and private rondavels alongside a river with all the necessary amenities) as are the attentive and responsive staff. The food was delicious with lots of varied choices but most mindblowing of all are the scenery, the incredible game drives and sightings our guide (Craig) organised for us. Craigs knowledge and passion for Klaserie is awe-inspiring, in particular his admiration for and understanding of the animals. All our sightings (to which there was lots!) were coupled with such interesting facts and we could have listened to his childhood memories and campfire stories all night!

keep in mind that it is a long drive from Hoedspruit to the lodge. but totally worth it!
