We’ve come back to Island Vibe multiple times now and we’ll keep coming. The vibe is easygoing, the location great (its right on the beach), and the staff are just amazing. A special thanks to the sweet lady at reception, Charmaine, who always made us feel at home. The bar is fun, there’s often live music in the evenings, and surf lessons are available at good prices with a great teacher. They also light a bonfire every evening, which makes it easy to meet other travelers if you’re on your own. Everything is close by, and you can just enjoy the place without needing to plan much. It’s our go-to spot in Jeffreys Bay!

Stairs to room .. Would appreciate kettle in room for coffee. Towels,, didn't bring that along

Its exceptional location at and view on the beach/sea, an outdoor common area which is perfect for relaxing, simple but nice cabins to sleep in again with sea view. Breakfast also simple but good! Offer surfing lessons (Wasseem did a great job, enjoyed it a lot) and sometimes trips to a private Nature Reserve where you can do zip-lining and cliff-jumping (was unfortunately when we wanted to do it, but Silas - who also does free drumming lessons in the evening at the bonfire - gave us a local township-tour instead). We’re spontaneously able to extend out stay because we loved the place so much. Had a family-like braai the last night with staff and other guests.

As mentioned already, the organisation of the Nature Reserve trip was not ideal, it was only cancelled last minute.

We stayed a week and loved our little hut, it had the most amazing view ever. Basic but all you need. The beach kitchen was also working well and the staff was friendly and enthusiastic. It's a bit out of the "centre" but you can easily walk to Jbay surf village or along the beach to the other part of the town.

Some kitchen tools could be renewed or fixed and the bathrooms worked fine, as an improvement just some more little fixing (some more hooks to hang stuff etc)

I was there for 2 nights. First night I didn't sleep because the owner's son and his girlfriend came in late to party....she got very drunk and was screaming until 4h a.m. Running in the hallway we're all guests were trying to sleep, and laughing, screaming & talking loud near the pool table and bar area. The door was open between so we heard her/them all night. Terrible when no one is there to tell them to quiet down. She/ they are not guests so they should of keep it down or get out of there. Hard for us to get up early to go surfing and enjoy our day when we haven't slept. The second night was perfect & quiet. Everyone was quiet !!!!

We LOVED our stay at Island Vibe Jeffreys Bay over New Year - it’s paradise! The views of the beach from all over the property are spectacular, and it was so nice to enjoy drinks while overlooking the main beach. We loved the comfort of not needing to leave the property, as everything we needed was right there! Good people, good views, good food—everything contributed to the LEKKER vibe! Can’t wait to visit again :)

The kitchen (dishes) wasn’t the cleanest, but that’s to be expected when sharing the space with other travellers :)

Everything was grate we got there we were shown al that you can do and what to do the staff was very helpful with everything and the booking in was do swiftly and the staff showed us where everything was and our rooms was very comfy the food also was grate and very good service and everyone was very friendly.

There is nothing U can not like it's a great place to stay and everything is close.

Super friendly staff! Really nice vibes. Stayed for a week and half just vibing. Good food at the bar (especially if Taffy is cooking!) Right near the beach, surf lessons provided (350 for 2 hours) Offers other activities too like sandboarding, waterfall and to tsitsikamma, bunjee jump etc.

Good views in the kitchen overlooking the beach but a bit of a pain having to walk all the way downstairs every time you want to use the kitchen Would recommend curtains on the dorm beds

I stayed here for 2 weeks back in October. It was really nice. The employees are really friendly, they take good care of you, they make sure there is always something to do. I wanted to do a day trip during my stay and they fixed everything for me. It was a lot of fun and made many friends during my stay. Highly recommend to stay here when you’re going to South Africa!

We ended up coming here last minute and fairly late in the evening after being scammed from another booking. How things work out sometimes. This is a beautifully located hostel. Right on the beach and the Common areas look down the sweeping bay. Dorms were comfortable and clean, food was good. Thanks for having us.

Little lights by each bed in the dorms would be great. Only one main light in the room not so good.
