Kuruman is, unfortunately, not a pleasant or particularly safe destination for travellers. But once you are behind the hedge at The Hedge, all is well and you find yourself in a haven of peace and quiet with much to interest the eye. All is as pictured and better. Spacious room and en-suite bathroom with desk with drawers, chair, bench, comfy bed with bedside lamps and bedside tables with drawers, bar fridge, kettle, coffee, tea and some milk. Bathroom had bath and shower. Lovely decor, large glass door to the lush and quiet garden with enough seating. The sparkling pool with poolside loungers and a large, fresh, leavy arrangement on one side is the stuff of IG posts. Breakfast was fabulous and wanted for nothing. Served at large shared table in stylish room with views. Communication via WA with pin drop was excellent. Mandie even offered to make us a restaurant booking for dinner.

Breakfast is served from 8.00 on a weekend, versus 7.00 during the week. Most travellers to Kuruman have long distances to cover, so an earlier time over weekends would be an improvement. This is a very classy and luxurious establishment. Mismatched and missing crockery in our room detracted from the overall feel.

The staff was absolutely fantastic, everyone was so kind and extremely helpful. The check in process was so seamless, the stay was pleasant from the very beginning. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and prepared with sooo much attention to detail. The location was easy to find and the property is in a lovely quiet neighbourhood.

The Hedge was a lovely stopover from our wildflowers trip just before we headed back to Joburg. Check-in was easy and simple. Mandi was a very gracious host who answered all our questions and even helped us book dinner at the Spur! The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a goodnight's rest and had a yummy breakfast waiting for us the next day:-) p/s Buy their linen and room spray as a treat for yourself - it smells wonderful!!

Lovely guesthouse with good service. Made us feel very welcome. Beautiful room and quiet garden.

Eat in by buying food before you go to the guesthouse. The town area is not safe or orderly.

The room was quite specious and the bed was very comfortable. The place allows people visiting as group to have great engagement, be at breakfast, or chilling by the pool and fire place. It felt like home.

If guest check in late can there be a communication earlier so you know what to do or expect when you get to the guesthouse. An sms or email would help to put you at ease so that you panic when arriving late. The buzzer at the gate should be connected to the host's phone so that if your phone is dead you can still get assisted to get access.

Superb guesthouse. Unfortunately we only stayed one night on our way back home. The manager, Mandi, was fantastic and since we wanted an early departure she packed a really substantial breakfast for us. Highly recommended.

This was my second stay, love the quietness of the place, back up power excellent WIFI, they have a pool too and outdoor seating areas and a tasty breakfast

We were very impressed with the fact that they accommodated us so late in the day and even with a yummy breakfast take-away waiting in our room because of an early morning departure. Communication was fantastic. The grounds were beautiful. Highly recommended!

It's quite and private. The garde is amazingly beautiful, the room with state of the art decor. Huge comfortable bed. I took a wholesome legendary bath and that felt heavenly The breakfast was devine
